Day 3 Thursday

Post by Twitch »

Slept late :!: :!: Did not get yp until 1000. :o  That Trainwreck really did a number on me. Had been sticking to straight sativas untill then and after smoking almost a gram, plus other things last night at Amnesia I was wasted/ When I got up some of my roommates were actually up before me and thouht it was very funny the way I was stumbling around the house like a punch-drunk boxer  After some coffee my wife and friends went to a flea-market and I decided to stay back and just roam around. Went to Amnesia for some Cambodia Haze and a cup of hot chocolate. Going to be another beautiful, sunny day. Had my usual talk with others about rolling w/tobacco.Not an American thing. They also found it unusual than when I hit on bong or 'cano or joint that I would hold it in as long as possible. Also met another American who had been living in student quarters w/his g.f. since January. He now smoked like a local and mixed w/tobac and blew it right out like a cigarette. Hung out for abouht an hour or so, then rolled up a fattie, almost gram of Haze, and went wandering.Bought some OrangeBud at Rockland to go. Wandered around canals for awhile, just looking at the cool doors and artwork on the buildings and just marveling in general at the age of things, buildings older than the u.s. still standing and in use with beautiful entryways and hidden gardens everywhere. If it weren't for the crap floating in the canals and the graffati it would be even more impressive. Smoked my j and headed back to apartment to make some lunch and take my now infamous nap. ( Just remember this a 60 yr. old dude who also takes 3 kinds of meds, all w/the side effect of sleepiness ) I know, excuses excuses. Anyway...wife and friends returned from doing there thing and we partyed in the apartment for awhile. They went out clubbing and wife and I went to this fantastic Belgian restaurant just a few doors from our apartment called Liege. Had what they called their Romantic dinner, three courses,3 cold dishes, 3 main dishes, and 3 desert dishes, which you picked from large variety of choices. At least 2 glasses of wine were served w/each course and my wife felt it was her duty to drink them since I don't drink. Hade more wine than she has had in a looooong time. Our friends actually wandered in about an hour into the meal, said hi and left. Met another american couple when were traveling all over, leaving for Singapore the next day. Very interesting to talk to. we we discussing the tobacco mixing issue and I noticed a Dutch couple next to us,especially the husband, was listening to us, so I invited him into conversation. He said he has lived in Amsterdam all his life and has never visited a c.s., although he does smoke. After about 21/2 hrs of eating and talking we went back to the apartment, full of good food, wine and conversation. It's 2330 by now and its still nice enough to sit on our patio and have a few bowls to end another wonderful day in the center of the universe. Good night all. :D Will continue reporting later, need to get away from computer for awhile.

Nice read Twitch, not to long at all. It's always enjoyable to read other peoples experiances in and around Amsterdam. You get to relive your adventures or dream about going. There is so much to see and do and so very easy to get there. Any pictures coming our way? Keep the reports coming. AzLaker 8)

Man, I never realised there was a third day, but having commented on the first two..............................

Great third day Twitch, made even better by the news you posted after getting back.

And Jett, I thought the lady was a major suffragette.

you gotta make your reports as long as they need to be.....if people don't wanna read it all, they won't  I did tho...

that dinner sounds amazing...as does your aimless wandering with a headful of haze.

some many great reports lately....not making me look forward to this ungodly hot weather that is headin our way :?

My thoughts exactly!! My reports are far from a short read but they are there for people who want to read them (and memories in years to come). In my eyes I like a longish report to get into - but you have a great trip writing style so I wouldn't change now.

Another great day, another great report!
