Check that out! its a total wipeout for those people,Man thats your worst nightmare right there
Its a tough call, do you wait it out to see if your flight does take off. Or do you book a ferry crossing knowing there's a chance that they might get booked up aswell, if waited out.
Go as foot passenger or take the car, so many tough desicions, and when i am shot to peices aswell.
Whats everyone else's idea's, that are travelling from the uk from Saturday onwards. Had a text from a mate who works at Soton airport and he's heard there most probably willn't be anything until Monday at the earliest, hope not for everyone esle.

Chase the Green to live the Dream

I guess i am lucky in that EasyJet have said on their website they offer all volcano related cancellations a free transfer within 30 days or a refund. And my hotel is booked on an 02 money card which has less than £10 on...so i shouldn't lose any money if the worst happens and i will probably just re-book in a week or two time.STENMAN wrote:Its a tough call, do you wait it out to see if your flight does take off. I'm not giving up hope though, it's just hard waiting as i don't think i will know for sure until maybe Sunday. Again, good luck for the weekend flyers.

When I saw Cattales thread entitled "420 cancelled" a couple of weeks ago I thought "news to me". Now I'm beginning to think she did know something the rest of us didn't.
BA have already cancelled all flight tomorrow before the NATS announcement has even been released.
No responses to my charter a coach suggestion. What about postponing to, say, 520?
Did I imagine it or was there a smell of sulphur in my garden an hour or so ago?

Thats ironic that you say that Lem because after I posted it I thought to myself, hum maybe I shouldnt have titled it 420 cancelled. I am pulling for you guys though. I want to be there so bad also.Lemming wrote:When I saw Cattales thread entitled "420 cancelled" a couple of weeks ago I thought "news to me". If its not sorted by Monday, it will be nothing for me.Lemming wrote:UK now closed up to 13:00 tomorrow. All indications are that it will continue like this for several days at least. It's overland and over or under water or nothing.
Like Valo said, easyjet will give a full refund. However, I won't be off work again till June.

Our flight tomorrow has indeed been cancelled but they've re-booked us for Monday. If that actually happens then it'll be a very short trip, Monday to Wednesday, but at least we'll be there for 4-20. We'll see how it goes. Good luck to everyone else and keep up the good work Hestia and co in our absence.
