seems so... i just left AMS yesterday and my fight to ATL is normally 7 and a half to 8 hours... just before takeoff the pilot informs us that due to the volcanic ash we are taking a different route and the flight was 10 and a half hours!!! it was insane, we flew north out of AMS alongside england then up and OVER iceland, down through canada... Longest time i have ever been on a plane, but at least they got us there and did not cancel the fight ;)

I'm glad you got out!!

Dude I'll be so freakin upset if this messes up our trip... we haven't been anywhere in 6 years and I have my dad flying in to take care of my kids...

Ah ffs not again. I think this cloud is a lot more isolated, hopefully the wind patterns dont change. If it did all kick off again like before it will be interesting to see how the airlines approach it given the CAA admitted they were over cautious last time.

So what's the latest, Kermit and everyone else's flights taking off/landing as planned?

Supposed to fly out Tuesday and if this volcano ruins my re-booked trip again I just may cry this time.
