Hull to Rotterdam is still available. They sail at 9pm each evening.
I've just booked at the whopping price of 160 GBP. Will be arriving in Rotterdam on Sat morning.
Good luck with all your travel plans. What a pain this cloud is. Can't the planes just fly lower?

I think the issue is the ash cant be detected by radar so in theory it could still get into the engine.

Airspace closed until at least 0100BST (1am UK time) on Saturday. It's a beautiful day here with a clear blue sky and not a single cloud or the usual criss-crossed vapour trails. On any other day it would be wonderful.

Everything is still ifs, buts and maybes right now. Can't believe this shit.
Thought i'd browse the rest of the forum after checking the important stuff regarding plans etc., but i can't bring myself to look at the next sub section down. Truly gutted, our numbers will defo be down even if this blows over by tomorrow. Was looking forward to meeting so many people, especially people from the US/Canada who we'd rarely get the chance to have the craic with. I'm saluting every magpie i see and keeping all things crossed. Peace and positive thoughts to you all, hope you make it.

The next UK air traffic control announcement is due at 2.30pm today so it's fingers crossed that their may be better news then.
If you look at the map of where the cloud is on the bbc news site, it looks like it is gradually moving eastwards so, just maybe, things might improve sometime over the weekend for flights between England and Holland.
