Friday 4 of 9

Post by Twitch »

Be forewarned all of u who were surprized to see third post ( don't want to mention any names doog ) but remember I ws there for 9 days. Read at your own Peril. Friday; wake early ( suprise, surprise ) Sit out on patio on another nice day in A'dam and smoke a joint of SadaShiva Haze from Nes and a boel of :?: .Between us we have at least 18 bags laying on the table w/only a few labeled so not sure what's doing what to who. Have discovered that my friends are light to middle-weights compared to yours truly so decided it is My Duty to puy a dent in stash as I'm sure we will all be buying more. Everyone else sort of taking day off from tours and just wandering the souvenir shops. Go to Amnesia to meet Stonefree and go to Haarlem, damn stood up twice now. Oh well, must be something I said  Wife comes over and we go to Haarlem on train. Nice country once away from city. Cows and everything. Got off train and noticed thousand of young people going somewhere. Was Liberation Day, but not sure where they were going. Looked like lemmings marching to the sea.( no offense Lemming  ) Haarlem is beautiful, cleaner than A'Dam and w/no graffiti. Even canals cleaner. Went to WillieWortel Sativa by train-station and bought some Power Plant. Wandered around taking pics of beautiful old building and the olderst active church in the Nl. Go to theehouse :?: and buy some really good iso for cheapest price I've seen 20Eu. gm. Also bought some good Super Skunk there. Feet are killing me and we decide to head back to A'Dam. Take nap :!: Get up and smoke some of the iso, very good, wish I had biught a little more. Friends go to RLD and wife and I stay home. Smoke a little Ak-47 I bought somewhereand crash. Good night all

 Oops indeed. Read away and came out unscathed after another quality write up.

 Wow 18 bags  Certainly must have been doing something to all of you if you had such an immense stash at that time. Howard Marks eat your heart out.

I have to say that the hook ups are probably always going to be more in hope than expectation. It's all very well saying that you'll meet someone before you go but it's a whole different enchillada once you actually get there and get settled in and get to wondering where you are half the time.

Good to see that Haarlem lived up to all the expectations. I always thought that a less trampled place than Amsterdam would always stand a chance of being a nicer place to visit and the Willie Wortel shops are now legendary on this site. Not one single even remotely bad review from anyone that has been there.

I am now fully expecting, and looking forward to Days 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Another top day, can't go wrong with a trip to Haarlem - lucky for us you had 9 days as there will be plently more days to read. I'm sure that everyday of this report will get re-read more than once in the next 69 days before my own trip.

Unfortunately I was the guilty one for a stand up on the latest trip as I was scheduled to meet Boner, Patrick and others at Amnesia in the morning - our hotel let us check out at 1pm that day and a very late night before led to oversleeping and missing a smoke with others. I was dissapointed on the day but sure there will be many more opportunities in the future!!

Hopefully we will cross paths next April and have chance to share some Amsterdam stories over a smoke or two.

Snicker. Nods, gets like that real quick. Only five more reports to go, Twitch. ;) Pace yourself.

Nods, this report only reaffirms that a daytrip to Haarlem on my bday is a good idea. I'm going to take Flybynite's Haarlem crawl. Though I haven't decided if I am going to shroom in Haarlem or when I get back to Amsterdam.

Maps

Post by Twitch »

not sure what maps u are talking about. Only went to Sativa. I did see an article which mentioned some other shops and the theehouse ?? was small, dark, and rather beat-up looking ( think it was first c.s.in Haarlem, but had some great Ico at only 20 a gm., which was cheap compared to most iso in Dam and was very good, as good as any I had payed as much as 30 for. Did not want to pay 40 for BarneyRubble as it was close to time to leave when I found it, but had heard from some people it was not worth the money, cup winner or not.
