That is a big point as well. You don't have to turn your AC completely off in your entire residence, if your vents have that switch you can move back/forth to just close the vents when you're smoking and then reopen it once your room is clear. You do need to make sure you do this, if you can't close your AC vents, it will go through your entire your residence and even neighbors if you live in an apartment complex (has happened to me before).RollUp wrote:
Turn off the AC! Air Conditioning will circulate the smell fast as a cheetah.
I've smoked in my place for years and it was definitely not allowed, I've done the dryer-sheet and kitchen towel roll thing etc.. The only thing that I never had a problem with was using the window and a fan to get all the smoke outside, that's really the only way. I mean if you have smoke inside your room circulating around, there's really no way to just "cover" it. Covering it up is something and then trying to get as much as possible out of your room is another thing. I've also heard those ionizers don't really work.
At the very least exhale smoke outside your window, don't exhale inside. It will just make things easier, and light incense and candles. Also try to not smoke near your door, if you do then make sure you put towels or blankets under your door, so smoke doesn't creep through the bottom opening. If you are living in a place with others in the same residence that don't approve, smoking at night when everybody else is a sleep always helps to allow more time for your room to clear. Especially using the window fan method, you can go to sleep and let your room just clear out by the time you wake up.
On top of the window method, using incense, candles, and if you're extra paranoid or smoked too much. They sell things like "Oust" and "Febreeze" even Lysol anti-bacterial sprays with odor-killing which are supposed to actually kill odors and not just cover up or "mask" odors. Spray that all around as well as much as you want. You can also use the dryer-sheet method and exhale this smoke outside your window. Even if you're smoking through a bong or whatever, as long as you're exhaling through that + it's going out your window you should be fine. As long as you're trying to keep the bong near your window while you're smoking and due to the circulation in the right position the smoke coming from the bong etc.. should just go through the window.
If you're not smoking near a window, it makes everything more difficult. Get the smoke outside of your room as much as possible. Don't just try to cover it up.
