A mate of mine was telling me his friend grew some crystal from female seeds and bypassed veg and put them straight to flower. Is this possible? Would the plants have to stay in the flowering stage longer? Or is it the fact that they are female seeds and grow faster than say a plant that has been grown from a clone. Can someone answer this as it has been bothering me a bit since it was said to me.

i think generally speaking they seeds will grow very similarly to any other seeds. They are just supposed to grow out to be all female. You would still need to veg them and confirm they are indeed all females. Its been said that these feminized seeds have a high rate of hermaphrodites.

Clones should still be the fastest and guaranteed female.

i'm sure some others will chime in, but that is what i got.

Hmmm...a lot of seedbanks use Crystal, Cristal, Chrystal and others for their seed banks.

The Crystal, I found is a White Widow re-back-crossed with Northern Lights. I would expect a decent veg period on them as they flower in 9-10 weeks and grow about four feet tall.

Some plants can be bred for shorter veg or faster flowering periods and some varieties can be "autoflowering". I just havent seen an auto Crystal on my travels.

Feminsed seeds are available, bred from hermie plants, as they say 99.99% female The places I looked didnt have feminised seeds for this strain.

Any variety of MJ can be put into a 12/12 cycle from seed.However,if the plant is indica dominate,it will only reach a height under two feet. A sativa dom will grow quite tall 1-1.5 meters grown seed to harvest under 12/12.I love female seeds.Have grown most of there offerings and like the Skunk the best.I also grew it from seed to finish under 12/12 of light.Took about 75 days.

With autoflowering you dont need 12/12 mate, you can leave em on 24/0 if you like... they still flower.

I would expect yield to be effected quite a bit by no veg.
