...not my bag really, prefer my bike going downhill thru the lakes, but it is starting in Amsterdam so there's a chance of some misty eyed memories.

i did not mean to suggest it was uncommon or weird, just that both big races start in the netherlands...
having the starts outside of france means lots of money for the people who organize it.
