im thinking the final will be a rematch of the 1978 finale holland vs argentina with argentina winning again.

i think england will make it past the quarters to the semis and lose. :( england i think may be(as usual) going into the tourny over confident which could bite them in the ass. if in some miracle usa wins or even manages a draw the british media is going to rip them a new one. a uk vs yanks sort of deal will prob be started but what they fail to realise is the usa isn't really behind this team and wont shed a tear if they lose but if they manage a win or draw the us media will milk it for all its worth and make it into something that frankly it isn't.

usa will make it out of their group but lose in the round of 16 most likely. i should support this team but frankly i cant stand any of the players aside from howard and altidore.

ivory coast or ghana should be the farthest advancing african teams. i dont see brazil winning it but we shall see. i think they'll beat portugal easilyand hopefully keep them from advancing from group g.

france will prob not do well and they will finally fire that idiot domenech and get a real manager.

hoping to see an england vs germany match and maybe usa vs mexico those are fun.

spain is quite obviously a front runner as long as they dont get over confident. i think uraguay may do well.

dont see australia making another run or even getting out of their group same with korea. all in all should be a good world cup. alot of world class players in their prime taking part. hoping rooney, messi and villa put on a show. sad russia didn't qualify though. same with ireland.

golden boot mario gomez..he'll prob bag 3-4 goals in the group stage similiar to klose and be somewhat quiet the rest of the tournament.

golden ball messi of course.

best goalkeeper probably cassillas or maybe buffon? maybe ustari if hes picked?

anyone pick up the world cup game for xbox? i know alot of you guys are pro evo fans but i picked it up and I like it. if anyone wants to play on xbox live add me mdscantona7.

Brazil have not really clicked under Dunga however they are Brazil so you can't write them off.

Argentina could come good but I doubt it, Maradonna is not the right man for the job.

As for England well the English media seem to like spending so much time uncovering player scandals that's bound to help our lads focus. 2nd round at best imo...

Has to be Spain for me. Oozing talent all the way onto the bench.

i couldn't care less i'll be rooting for england. us ntl team isn't fun to watch and as i said i dont like any of the players aside from 2. and as my mom and nana(rip..loved my nan) and most of my fam are from/ or still live in england i have been raised rooting for them for a long ass time.

what im saying is also that that match will fall right around the stanley cup and nba finals. most of the 350m people in this country will be too focused on that. also mid baseball season(yawn at summer baseball) and talk of college football and nfl will be starting as well. no one will care if they lose but as i said the media will make a big deal out of it even if they win or get a draw..but even then i dont think many will care. football is my fave sport and i love the world cup, but alas in this country im in the minority.

Never discount the Germans folks. They posses a 'Big Tourney Mentality'

The only thing I can guarentee, is that during every game, the commentator will mention 1966

....oh, and at least one of the African goalies will have an absolute 'mare! :D

Very much looking forward to it.
Endure
