Spot on.

There is no way the British press will allow the English team to have the best chance possible to win this tournament.
They can sell a lot more newspapers with controversy than they can with feel good stories.
That and the fact that we are not the best team in the tourny will weigh against us heavily. Having said that we can still win if we peak at the right time and get a few breaks. Just as in any tournament there is a luck factor that teams in the upper echelon of competitivness will need to edge out the others with similar levels of talent/training and athleticism.

There is no doubt England is close enough to this level to have a real chance as long as injuries and suspensions do not go against us.

For me Spain will be the hardest team to stop as it just feels like it is their 'time' if you like.
How much did you produce?

i agree shit manager or not theres no way u can count argentina out with the amt of talent they have, tevez, messi, aguero are all golden boot/golden ball capable. they should have called up zanetti or cambiasso though imo.

Argentina have a chance, if they ignore Maradona's instructions that is. Just pass to Messi

As for England quarter finals at best, hope I'm wrong but 29 years on Earth tells me we will fail again
