My polling station was in a local pub but my work took me away today.
Voting seems to be stuck in such Victorian days/ways. I'm self employed and couldn't make it back home to vote, despite still being in the UK but out of my county.
What have I got to do? take the day off to place a cross on a piece of paper?
Being pedantic and knobbish since 1972
I would have done a postal vote but didn't know my work would take me away from home all day and my polling card was locked in a filing cabinet for anyone else to vote for me. What ever happened to internet voting I ask myself? I was looking forward to having a few pints at my local pub and placing my vote at the same time but a lot of unexpected crap cropped up for me yesterday preventing me from getting back home in time.Boner wrote:

Those places down at Leith docks are not selling very fast I'm told maybe I can get a bargain.
For me anyway, thats the light at the end of the Tunnel. Davie boy Cameron makes me cringe.
And there is a reason them houses in Lieth ain't selling........Its Lieth
Very dissapointed with the noises coming out of the Liberal's camp...
Endure

Aye Twitch'o, but if you could afford to by one or two for cash and hang on to them for, who knows? a couple of years mate they will start to move but they were overpriced when they built them at the top of the boom. But, Leith IS Leith and its walking distance from a fair city. It will happen I'd say.
May be I'm getting past it but the elections didn't fire me up at all really, although its produced some quirky incidents. Near my area Zac Goldsmith (son of uber rich Sir James, Eton, Cambridge, totaly top drawer) brand new to politics, has pushed out a very well respected Liberal Democrat MP who has served her constituency very well and is clean as a whistle on the expenses. X factor poli's.

What a long strange trip it is.
As a casual foreign observer (though not so foreign as to be totally unconcerned in all fairness) I have to say I am surprised how well Labour have done, considering the love you all have for Blair and Brown and the new labour way, and how very little the Lib Dems actually managed to gain.
Now the Tories are in power (or at least the most in power) I have to dislike all you engelanders again!
Ewwww David Cameron you dirty dirty bastards, really now!
Still love you Scots and Welsh though! lol

I voted labour. They are the lesser of 2 evils imo. I liked some of the lib dem policies but until there is a proper reform of the voting system voting for them would be a waste of a vote.Adamster wrote:i hope the pound and the rest of the UK DROPS DEATH to the deepest part of the IRISH SEA! who ever voted LABOR party is an are idiots !!Blair should be in jail for WAR CRIMES (also GW BUSH) the QUEEN should have them all HUNG & then hang herself!
LONG LIVE THE NEW KING (ME)
As for the Tories well the only reason they have tried to make such an effort targeting youth is because this generation of youth was not around the last time they were in charge to witness how much hard they fucked up. Not to mention 3 recessions....

it was all a farce between polling stations either didn't have enough ballot papers or were too slow to process the voters or the rigged postal votes or even worse a case where a council seat(yeah i know not the general election but relevent in my eyes) was tied...so the cut a deck of cards to decide who won...VIVA THE REVOLUTION!!!!...i'd like to see a hung parliament...from the nearest lamp-post!
