Of course.
Beautiful weather, restriction to sell means you cannot piss off your customers with low quality, rushed to market weed.
Just wait till MJ is legalised for recreational use soon. It will be crazy. Maybe the weed quality will even drop if it can proliferate like this.
California has many better things too, but it doesn't have the canals and the bikes....

But I can drive to California in five hours and will be living there ( at least part time ) in a week.Kingdoc wrote:Boner wrote:Holland still wins, anyone over the age of 18 can buy/smoke and they dont have earthquakes.
I/we dont have to travel light years either.
Still love Amsterdam though.
Old School and Proud of It.
I have no doubt that Cali has some great bud. But after visiting the LA area at least 20 times, I just don't like the city. Not to mention that it's still illegal without a MMC. I go to Amsterdam to get away, the weed is just a benefit

los angeles is one of the worst cities ever. san fran is 100x more tourist friendly as is san diego.
hope they egalise because if they do im jumpin on the first southwest flight to sf or sd. earthquakes arent a factor on the west coast unlike the rest of the world we are prepared for them and our buildings are made to withstand them. we had a 6.8 here in seattle in 2000 or 2001 and really had no damage. i'd say seattle,sf,la and tokyo are the only big cities in the world actually prepared.
that said though to say dispenseries are pissin on amsterdam is a huge reach to say the least.

Considering how long the Cali dispensary scene has been around and how long the Amsterdam coffeeshop scene has been around, Cali has the Dam whooped. There is way more variety in Cali and it seems like new strains pop up every day. Quality of the product is debateable, but the only true judge of that is someone who has smoked the best of what both scenes has to offer. I'm not gonna try to act like I'm a true judge because I've only smoked true Cali bud a few times, but from every report I've read from Californians, including Chubbs who runs a dispensary and has smoked the best both scenes have to offer, Cali wins hands down. The only drawback is that you have to live in Cali to tell the doctor you want some weed for your insomnia to enjoy the scene.

chubbs is INCREDIBLY biased towards cali though and esp his own shop. he was in love with the dam after his 08 htcc trip and said how the weed and hash were great. then he went in 09 and was talking shit. things dont change that much in a year. also on his 09 trip he was supposed to meet up with and make some vids with arjan and evidently dude didn't show. also dude only goes to the tourist shops..ie greenhouse, barneys, dampkring, greenplace, etc. sounds like he ate some sour grapes to me.Stanky Danky wrote:Considering how long the Cali dispensary scene has been around and how long the Amsterdam coffeeshop scene has been around, Cali has the Dam whooped. my opinion is
cali has better indicas/kushes and bubble/ice/oil . they have good sativas too though.
amsterdam has a better sheer variety and great sativas/hazes and of course those old world import hashes that (as of now) you just cant get in america. just my opinion. i suggest people form their opinion based on visiting both scenes and giving both a try. also amsterdam is by far a more tourist friendly city than say los angeles. one cant go on a crawl in la w/o renting a car and dealing with the 2nd worse traffic in america or getting on a bus and changing multiple times. once again though just my 2 cents.
