So eventually find my way to Paradox via a stop at coffee shop Johnny , never purchased here as nothing on the menu grabs my attention . First time in Paradox cant remember much of it now though to be honest !? Although I do remember Pauli Walnuts recommending some Turkish hash €15 1.5 G I think ? Just a buy and fly it was getting on a bit so decide to go for a munch at the famous Burger Bar

Get myself a 220 Irish with bacon and onions on Italian , I take it to go found a wee shop got a tin of Heineken and set off to find somewhere decent to sit . End up on the Singel some where wolfed my burger down tried to wash it down with the beer , but I was just not feeling it ! (im not a big drinker at the best of times but have previously enjoyed a beer with my burger) took a few gulps and decided to throw the tin in the bin ! I remember having a spliff rolled but cant remember where , or what !? Lol

Anyway set off again cant really remember where I went ? Lol I tried a few places that I remembered AP had said he liked or was maybe gonna visit with no luck ! So after my obligatory walk round the RLD I walk down to Basjoe and there they are , alreet lads get my grinder back then head in to peruse the menu . I decided on some Manali none left some O bud none left !! AP got some Bas Special I just bought a water , well tried to !! Lol Asked for a water €2 gave James my dough €10 no change no probs I will come back later , so head back out to sit with the lads and smoke something ? At some point James beckons me over and gives it his usual “have a J oon me mohn” and passed over a wee blob of ?? What I was not sure at first , so take it back to the table and start building a spliff with it . I just presumed it was some kinda Afghan swag and start snaking it to lay on some tabak . This is when Angry P was having a look at it and exclaimed “dude I think this is some kinda Termi and you have just put enough for about three spliffs in that J” whoops how can we tell ? So he smears a bit on the end of a spliff he just lit and guess what ? It bubbled and ran ! It was indeed some kind of Terminator different to the one that was on sale !! Yee ha thanks dude much respect . Now here comes the dilemma ….
Image

We had decided we were gonna take a walk over to the Nes to finish of the night , and I had to go and ask for my change ! I was summing it up for ages asking the lads their advice on asking for it !? What to do? I was well embarrassed considering he had just gave me a blob that was probably worth more than my change , but truth be told I was running out of cash for using that night ! So sheepishly I walk in and ask if he had change yet ? He never but he just gave me the full €10 back !! To say I felt a bit of a knob is an understatement , considering his generosity !! So I am going to make sure I give him the money I owe him for the drink with a hefty tip on top (Birthday trip 26th June) oh I nearly forgot I also found Island Girl sitting at the bar in Basjoe

So we all head over to the Nes , although I had popped my head in the night before I had still not really been if you get my drift ? As we are walking we notice IG has a plastic bag , what you got in there ? Was it not a full Basjoe rainbow space cake ! And I mean a full loaf not just a cake/cookie ! Enough for about ?? Who knows ? You go girl ! Lol so into Nes get introduced to the legend that is DC offers me a drink which was super nice , I opt for a water I think ? Boring I know ! Lol we proceed to smoke for a while was feeling pretty ripped stay for a while then I leave with AP and his mate , dunno what we done but it probably included a walk through the RLD and a healthy giggle !

Sunday to come !

On reflection I realise that I never went to Stones corner to get SSH until Sunday also the Train wreck from TGP was in fact headband ! Lol I recommend comprehensive note taking !!

Sunday 25th April

Woke up at the usual time about 11ish , I had decided on having a lazy day today rolled my usual morning spliff and doss around a bit listening to some music . I received a txt from Angry Pirate to say they were ? Somewhere !! Lol ! Get myself together go for a shower and discover that the maid had made off with my shower gel !! (Room with shared facilities at the Abba)

So im out the door and as its another nice day I take a walk up to Centrum to meet the lads (13.30ish) Pop in to the Dampkring first , tried to get a G of White choco so decide on the White Russian instead and as it was such a nice specimen I get 2 G back into the day jump on a tram for a couple of stops , end up popping into Prix D Ami on the way to meet the lads as they are now in Stones Bar . Buy 1G of Red Leb €7 just a buy n fly head over and meet the lads at the benches behind Stones Bar sit there for a while the lads are having a beer but I decide on a coffee . I take a stroll to Stones corner and pick up a G of Super silver Haze bump into Lamp Shade on the way !? What up dude I though he had left days ago ? Seems not so I invite him to meet up with us at Stones .

Image

So Lamps meets us and we get onto the topic of food , I really fancied a bagel and USBL had recommended New York Bagels and Beans , I had never been before but knew the general area where it was , so we all set off walk passed Bluebird we never stopped just kept walking . As we were walking I kept saying “I don’t know where this place is” but alas poor Yorric that’s it in the distance ! Lol Get myself a Onion Bagel with cream cheese and bacon , and a Poppy seed , pastrami , cream cheese washed down with an OJ and a cappuccino don’t know what the lads get ? We all sat outside and soaked up the Amsterdam rays !

Cant remember what we got up to after that but we ended up back at Stones corner having a few spliffs AP and his mate had their last Amsterdam beers , I nipped off to Hill Street Blues on Warmoesstraat got Northern lights €10 I think 1.7 G went back another couple of doobs then it was time for the lads to leave AP distributed his last couple of bags between Lamps and myself (cheers lad ) we said our goodbyes I decided to head down the road as well and arranged to meet LS at Nes later .

So I head down the road for a bit on the way I took some cash out the bank for souvenirs !! Its still pretty earlyish around 18.00 or so take a walk down to Boerejongens 2G White Choco ,1G Boerjack , 2G Bubble Kush roll a doob for the stroll back into town , but decide to try find coffee shop Bij again I have a Google map and find it no problem I think I walked past it last time !? Lol so in I go have a look at the menu decided on 1G O Bud looked a nice specimen , also 2G Mohamed €16 a lovely softy hash ! Now I never hung around in Bij as my tummy was rumbling ! Lol but im not sure of the situation there ? Is it just a buy n fly place ? There were certainly no one sitting around in the shop

!Image
Image

Walk back up Overtoom and decide on a pizza from the Dominos , go for a classic pepperoni get myself a tub of Hagen Daz and a tin of fanta up to my room and munch down . Decide to take a walk up to Nes later on as I had arranged to meet LS there , decide to head in to Hill Street Blues for some cheap deals for my home stash ! Decide on 3G Afghan €10 2.7 Double O €10 ! Ok these may not be the best pieces of hash in town but certainly better than I get at home (maybe not the Afghan!) and I actually enjoyed the Double Zero it was a decent bit of hash and for that price !? So head over to Nes walk in and cant see anyone I recognise ! So turn tail and leg it , while im walking out I hear some one shout “Cisco” turn round to see Soulrider standing there (never met him before but had seen pics of him on this very forum) so make my introduction and go to find IG and DC sitting there as well so set up camp have a spliff of the Afghan (not nice to be honest) DC offers me a drink again (shout out fella respect) I go with a looza I think ? Lol don’t stay long and decide to head down the road for an earlyish night . Pack some of my bag and get myself ready for checking out in the morning !

So that’s all for now sorry its took so long to put up my report but I really want to finish this one as I have never finished any that I have started !! So last day to come soon , wont be to long as I have another trip to Mokum in less than two weeks ! Yee ha another report to follow that one !

Well my last day in paradise I had packed up most of my bag last night so just had the rest of that to do then checkout and I was free for the day. Check out was 10.00 I believe but I never went down till 10.30ish or so with no problems . I was not leaving until 22.00 so asked if there was somewhere I could leave my bag for the day , and indeed there was so leave my bag there and im off into another sun shining day in paradise .

So I ask the reception chick about coffee shop Tweedy as I notice its pretty near , yeah she knows it and gives me directions , its basically across the road first right then its at the end of the road . Find it no probs wander in and buy myself ? Tbh I can not remember !! Lol maybe just some Orange bud and whatever it was it was decent . I digress for a moment while I was packing up my books etc that I had left on the table I found €40 under one !! Total bonus ! I had only €30 or so on me before I found it although I had my bank card .
Image

I decided to go and try get the full fruits of the Pijp area so a wee wander down via museumplein where Rijksmuseum is still under refurb , I had my camera today so wanted to get a snap of the IAMSTERDAM sign but alas it was gone !! Lol anyway I took a stroll down to Pijp first stop Kabouter I got 1G polm €7.50 never hung around De graal next stop . I really liked the look of the white gold from one of Twichaldhinos EPIC reports so €10 bag of that please also a bag of the Buddha Cheese both lovely specimens !

Got myself 2G Hindu Kush €10 nice bit of weed some seeds etc but its outdoor weed I believe and acceptable . Sat and had a spliff in the shop then it was off into the day once more .

I decided to head back into Centrum , I had more or less not taken my camera out in the last few days so decided to take some shots on the way .

I know I went for a Burger King later on around dinner time 18.00 or so I knew I had to check in for the dreaded coach journey back home at 21.00 and had rolled a couple of spliffs for smoking after I had checked in as the bus did not leave until 22.00 , so across the road onto a bench out with the termi sticky stuff and smeared it onto both doobs I lit , a final head wreck ! Lol

Total adventure on the way home but I shall leave that until another time . Im glad I finally finished a trip report as I have attempted two previous . Well that’s me I need to go get any final bits and pieces done for my next Amsterdam trip ! Tomorrow 26th June so no doubt another report to follow ! Well peeps peace out and thanks for reading it I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did ?
