I spit on your grave (2010 remake) - very satisfying. I particularly liked the delicate and sensitive handling of the redneck scum being tortured!
I Saw the Devil (2010) - quite a 'good' film but way too much time spent on the baddie's viciousness and WAY too little in the way of appropriate response to his crimes (eg ....no, i wont say....you wont like it

)

This movie contains the best 'justified' revenge scene I have ever seen. For once I felt both writer and director left few stones unturned in the quest for maximum agony, anguish and terror for someone who had taken so much from the protagtonist.

watched hunger last night - wow what a powerfull film
loved the coversation half way through the film with the priest, one of the best bit of dialogues ever in a film, for a movie that had hardly any dialogues at all and then you get this coversation that last 5-10 mins straight, back and forth and then he even convinces you that maybe what he plans to do is actually the right thing, again wow
over all though this ain't a film for the weak, what a horible way to go

Yeah it was good. Irréversible is the best revenge film ive seen, worth a watch if you have a strong stomach. It is a really good film but i never need to see it again.

50/50 which is Seth Rogans latest, really good and quite funny as well, loved it's based on a true story as well.

If you like revenge films, you definitely need to see I Saw The Devil (Korean). It rocks. On a side note, Monica Bellucci getting raped - hot. If you like Irreversible you should watch the prequel, I Stand Alone.
Watching some anime films right now - just finished Loups=Garous. Not bad, but the book was better.

I watched The Thing (2011) last night as well, it was ok but still not a patch on the original.

Last night I watched
Tyrannosaur a real gritty and bleak movie but so good.
Just finished Fright Night (remake) it was ok but lacked the humour of the first one which I'm guessing was intentional it just didn't work as well.

I have seen I Stand Alone, gritty subject but good film. I wouldn’t agree that the rape (and beating) is hot, even if it is Monica Bellucci, but each to their own.
Other good French films ive seen recently : Dobermann (Vincet Cassel in cops n robbers, fun watch ), 13 Tzameti ( really good film, keeps you on the edge of your seat) Delicatessen (dark comedy).
Just watched Driver - meh, ok- 6/10.

Agreed, I was quite excited especially as it was getting a bit of a cult status, very average imo.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0856288/ < thats pretty good if not totally fucked up.
Dan, that TT3D doesn't interest me at all.
