To anyone that 'enjoys' watching innocent people suffering...... I would encourage you to re-focus your hatred on the cunts that deserve it and not onto random innocents.

Me, I know I'm fucked up but at least I only take delight in the suffering of the BADDIES! (which, of course, we're supposed to 'rise above'...bollox!)

We are talking about a fictitious situation here folks. I don't condone rape or other forms of unwarranted violence under any circumstances. However, as far as I'm concerned anything goes in the movies. If one is opposed to a rape scene in a fictitious movie then they should also be opposed to violent video games and I seriously doubt that's the case as far as this forum goes.

Yeah I know what you're saying. However, fictitious schmictitious! - the movies are designed to present scenarios that cause the viewer to suspend disbelief. Thus, when someone watches a movie with a woman screaming and begging for a rapist to stop and finds it hot, that means the woman's cries either do not hinder the perception of the 'hotness' or the person doesnt care about the suffering of the victim or maybe her screams of anguish are a turn on in themselves? I would worry if anyone in my circle of friends found the Irreversible rape scene 'hot'!!!

Reginald.D.Hunter.Live.2011 - one of the funniest stand up performances i've seen in a long time

Amelie - french quirky film, loved it

La Haine - another french film but this time based in some estates on the outskirts of paris - one of the best films i've ever seen, couldn't recommend it highly enough, forget Kidulthood and similar films this is the one to see

Another good French film I saw recently ..... "A Prophet"

Good prison drama, very intense at times. With psychological and spiritual aspects that leaves me wondering ................... !?!

I thought it was a really good film- gritty and entertaining. I watched another foreign prison film yesterday- Cell 211 (Spanish) about a prison guard who gets trapped in a prison riot on his first day. Its not quite as good as A Prophet but still worth a watch.

Most of my recent film watching has revolved around what I can watch with my almost 2 year old. Luckily he's down with Hayao Miyazaki's films. On the other end of the spectrum, I decided it was time to introduce my stepson to Guy Ritchie.
