adventures in a'dam with bongskillz

Post by bongskillz »

hey all!

DAY 1 7:30 AM

So I'm waiting for my friend to get ready and start the drive from *ç%* - Amsterdam, it will take us about 9 hours I hope. So that puts us at arrival time at around 18.00 in downtown dam.

This is my fifth trip out there and it will be my friends second. We are both heavy bong smokers (daily.. and often all day daily...) so we are bringing along some glass utensils to enhance our experience...

We are staying at bob's youth hostel, but in a private apartment which is located in another building. We had a scare earlier this week when our reservation was cancelled due to water damage, causing me to make a new reservation at the Greenhouse Effect hotel. Making a last minute reservation with Ruth at GH was very easy, and while we were slightly bummed at not heading back to Bob's we were eager to check out our new digs. But no, Bob's hostelmanager got back to me a day later apologizing for the situation and informing us that if we still wanted he could provide us a better apartment for the same rate. So feeling rather silly at this point I had to call Ruth and beg her for a free cancelation (3days prior to check-in) which she happily agreed to (quite normal in hotel industry, but wasnt sure about in dam). Once again I have to say that my experience on the phone with Ruth from GH was good, I will consider them on future trips.

So in the end we are staying at Bob's in an apartment for 2 with private bathroom and shower (originally we paid for shared) costing us 70E per night TOTAL!! sweetness

Tonight's aim is for Grey Area, Dampkring, Greenplace, Hunter and Basjoe... it is unlikely that we manage them all tonight but we plan to give it our best shot!

Just ripped a bonghit each for breakfast and should be pulling out of the driveway shortly! thankful that it was the last hit of mediocre that we will have for the next 4 days, yet already dreading having to come back to our sub-par buds after the trip...

I will try to update along the trip - if anyone can suggest any shops that have wifi.. i've never bothered to ask/pay attention before...

Wish us a safe drive ! See you in Dam in 9 hours!!!

Good Start man. Have a blast.

RE, Wi Fi. Dolphins and HomeGrownFantasy are two that I know off the top of my head. Possibly Amnesia and Mellow Yellow too.

Hey man have a great trip! Wifi is everywhere in Dam as Twichaldino says HGF and Dolphins have it and Mellow yellow definitely does. I can't remember any more really good shops that do. Bulldogg has it in all it's shops.. after that every Bagel & Beans has it, I think every macdonalds does too! I also found free hotspots just walking around and even in Basjoes! (the connection there was a little shaky) Keep your wifi open and see what you can find!

Also this site might be of help to you TOTAL HOTSPOTS
gonna heat me some Ti

Day 1: Arrival

Post by bongskillz »

Day 1: The Arrival
The drive went pretty well, took us about 10 hours to drive just over 1000km... Unfortunately tho its pouring rain and its pretty cold when we arrived... I am already re-thinking tonights gameplan as I don't feel like doing a crawl in the cold and rain...

We parked in one of the P+R parkings out of town and took a bus in, super practical and cheap @ 6e per day. We Arrive at bob’s to get our keys.. Check in our pad to find its pretty big and sweet, on the top floor of one of there other buildings on spuistrat. It seems like the room hasnt been cleaned tho since the last check-out, we dont really care at this point because its 19.45 and we gotta run down the street to grey area for some greens and kif pronto before it closes.

We head to grey area and pick up 2g kif @ 18, silver bubble @ 13, and grey haze at 11.50... Grey area was about to close so we head back to the apartment for an inaugural session with our new goodies...

Silver Bubble

The sliver bubble has the nice fruity taste and stone of the bubble gum.. Smells like it to.. Its got the taste of haze but also the kick and flavor of the bg, top quality.

Grey Haze

The sliver bubble has the nice fruity taste and stone of the bubble gum.. Smells like it to.. Its got the taste of haze but also the kick and flavor of the bg, top quality, first pic.

Grey haze more hazy.. Nice looking lemony smelling nugz. Smoother then the silver bubble and more smooth on the throat.. Lemony haze flavor.

We are giggling and getting higher then we have in over a year from smoking some sativa weed for once, mission accomplished this is what we came for. We smoke down 2 bowls each out of the RooR of the silver bubble first and then 2 of the silver haze.. Trying to compare flavor and effects… Next we break out the bubble and small screen bowl for some pure kif hits
Grey mist crystals: big clumps, not as flavorful as others but it stinks like candy if you get ur nose in there.. Like some fruity pez or smth… It burns hella nice and smooth in the bubbler...

more to come later..

Sweet photography mate, them look some lush buds. I'd say anychance of a pic of the kif but it's probably too late ;) :P

Maybe a pic of a loaded roor to compensate?? ;)

22.00:
After our inaugural session we decide to go get some take-away Burger Bar... we each got the 270g cheese bacon and onion black angus burger... so tasty!!!

22.30
After eating we head to Amnesia as this is one of the closests decent shops in our area and we didnt want to walk far in the cold and rain... We decide we're ready for some indica and hash for some couchlock before bed... We opt for the LSD and the natural sin which were recommended to us by the bud tender...

LSD looks very nice but compared to the grey area flavors it tastes bland... thats what happens when you go straight to the good stuff... Definitely felt the indica and i reckon if we had smoked this first it would have gotten a better review...

Image

I don't think i have a picture of the natural sin on it's own.. but here are some pics of it loaded.. one with grey area kif:

and one patty in the roor bubble bowl:

We puffed on the bubbler in Amnesia until the staff started cleaning up and we decided to go home for bonghits and bubbler session until 2-3am...

coming next... breakfast at barneys, bubble at dampkring and more juicy pics!

Man these pics have me drooling, especially the pics of the loaded bowls...o'mama! Did you find the LSD to have a trippy effect at all?

Wish I had the monies to invest in a RooR...maybe I'll hire one, or just use a CS's if possible. I fancy sitting back & bonging a day away when I land ;)

Again, Kudos on the photo's (y)

Sweet & wicked tokes!
