Wishing you a speedy recovery Mit... you know the best thing for such a swelling... put some ice-o-lator on it

Cheers Rez...

I've iced it up earlier, unfortunatly I am currently cannabisless, I'm on my break from smoking at the moment, so i'll just have to put up with pain. :(

:!: GET IT CHECKED OUT BY A DOCTOR ASAP :!:

I took a tumble at home late one night a couple of years back (2001) and I actually knocked myself out as a result.

When I came to I noticed that my left ankle was a bit sore and I had a great deal of difficulty putting weight on my left foot.

"Hey, I've just twisted it" I said to my Dad as he drove me to the local casualty department.

Was sent for an x-ray as a precaution (the ankle was swelling at an alarming rate) but I still thought I had only twisted it.

WRONG. It was smashed and I had taken out a few tendons as well. The nurse put up an x-ray of what a normal ankle looks like and then put up the x-ray of mine. The break was so bad that my ankle appeared to be the wrong way round compared to the normal one. (What should be on the left hand side was now on the right hand side).

Needless to say I didn't make it home for dinner that day or for the next week which was spent in hospital recovering from a major operation. Next three months were spent in plaster and it was another month after the plaster came off that I was actually walking normally again.

I still suffer pain in that area from time to time (Arthritis)

Its feeling better today, swelling gone down a bit and can put some weight onto it.

I've done both of my ankles loads of times through sports and just being a clumsy twat  , one of the worst was in Amsterdam when running across the road on Damrak to avoid a bike. It was only 2 hours into my visit, spent the night hobbling around with mates supporting me, had to stay in hotel the next day though. Had enough pot to last through the day though.
