not wanting to nitpick, but the new screen is 960 x 640 which is a considerable leap from 800 x 480.

PS I'm not defending the iphone... for the last few years I've been using an oldschool Nokia, prepaid SIM all the way :)

I also like to take the piss out of my freinds who ALL have iphones and are always playing with them in the pub etc.

That's what I get for reading a blog and not going to the apple site. That is amazing res, now if they would only make it with a larger screen.

Peace,
Balou

I'm not stating this just because I own an HTC Desire Android phone, but after checking a few things out over the past couple of days, the HTC Desire is still better than 3 > 4G iphone. I've only just skimmed the surface with feedback and info as the 4G is not fully out yet, but hitherto this seems the case.

I'm sure there are better (and worse) smart phones out there, but I like the Iphone 3G as my personal phone. Internet, phone, email, texting, mp3 (or whatever they are), apps for boring times, and gps on the golf course are about all I need.

I know that myself and co-workers go thru blackberry's like they're candy. Always breaking and bad battery life. I haven't had any issues with my Iphone for about 2 years.

On a side note, I love the directtv app to program my dvr's at home. I can be 1,000 miles away and record a program on any dvr in my house.

A nice app I've just discovered for my Android phone is being able to hold the phone up to a night sky and seeing all the stars that are beyond wherever I point and move the phone screen in the sky, detailing what you're looking at. Many times I've seen overly bright stars and wondered what planet or star it is and this app shows all this. Brilliant stuff when you actually think about it.

On a similar note........................
AR (Augmented Reality) is the next big thing and they reckon in the next 20 years, we will have AR in contact lenses so you will have a wealth of information and being able to interact with anything put in front of your eyes. Crazy stuff when you think of the possibilities.

Hey, that layar looks interesting. I'll check that out later today as the app came with a warning for my mobile, when I had a quick glance a minute ago, saying it has the ability to overide and make direct phone calls and not sure what this entails at the moment until I properly check out what this means.
