Ahhh, finally got here after and 8 hour layover at Heathrow. GOD i love this city.

We arrived about 1700 on wednesday and got settled into our houseboat. After getting all our stuff stashed we headed out into the city and went to Casa de Peru for dinner. Reasonably priced and very tasty south american food. On the way back we stopped in at Crush. Didnt stike me as a great place to chill but the bud tender was really very cool. He showed me a fresh batch of White Haze he had. It smelled wonderful, kinda like eastern spices, and was very sticky and crystally. Bought 2g for 15e. Good price i think.

Nowkeep in mind I am not a heavy smoker, Im sure i wouldnt have a prayer of keeping up with most of you. This weed punched my brain in half. It was a bright peppery high but left me with no cognitive function whatsoever. We had discussed wandering about town for the evening but as we soon discovered neither of us could comprehend a map let alone find the front door so we decided to give it a miss.

Second day we went to Green Place to get the Blueberry Cheese. Seemed a decent place to hang out so we got our BC and a couple of teas and headed to the back to burn a couple of bowls. We were quickly put off by the guy passing out in the back and being constantly yelled at to stop lying down on the seats. The window seat opened up so we took our supplies and quickly relocated and spent a wonderful rainy thursday afternoon. The Blueberry Cheese smelled just like Y'all said it would although it didnt translate to taste so much. The high was wonderful, not really heavy but not as brain searing as the White Haze.
A very nice afternoon high. We capped that off with dinner at Casa de David. A little pricy but wonderful northern italian fare.

Today we travelled to Alkmaar to visit the cheese auction. Beautiful little town. We sampled a lot of different kase to go with our Blueberry Cheese. Upon return to Dam we headed over to Greenhouse to see the fish in the floor. Picked up Temple Ball for 1g 11e. and a couple of Hot chocolates. I LOVE THAT HASH! A delightful warm happy buzz that i find very relaxing..Ill be getting more of that man!

Anyway, a great start and so much more to go! WOOOT!

Perhaps ill see some of you around!

Early start today, up at 600 and had a delightful morning on the boat with our new duck family friends (a nesting pair and 2 babies) we sat at the window and fed them and greeted the morning sun in the best possible way!

we then made our way to the farmers market up on the north side. Nice walk up through the Jordaan. We saw Samenterang (sp) the one that is held up by posts. too early it was closed. The farmers mkt wa very nice Picked up some nice greens and some awesome salmon to make for dinner tonight. Made our way back to rembrant plein and stopped in at Smokeys Not a great place but not bad either. Empty seats up front so we grabbed a couple of cuppicinos and sat down to reload. Man that temple ball is the coolest walking around stone, everything is just so peaceful. Then it was museum going time. Went to the handbag museum then the diamond museum. Both very nice place, quality exhibit work. and a blast stoned.

Picked up some Polm at Smokeys, wanted some to go with dessert tonight.
makin a madarin orange and dark chocolate flakes thing... thought polm would go nicely..... Ill let you know.....

Couldnt find all the ingredients for dinner making so decided to find indian food instead. Stopped in at Dolphins and got some mint tea and some Maroc polm. 1g 10e. The shop was kinda cool, i really like the underwater motif. I didnt like how the gear is all pre bagged.

We got our thees and settled in amongst the reefs to blaze one. Loaded a bowl of Blueberry cheese and placed a nice chunk of the polm on it. Nothing overly special about the flavor, light and honey-like and very smooth. An upbeat kind of high, i noticed it first behind my eyes and in the back of my throat. Almost the way acid can make you feel. What i didnt like about it was how strongly it turned my focus inward. I became so absorbed with the cacophany of thoughts and pictures in my head that everything around me became grey and misty.

We found a really nice indian resterant near leidseplein, had butter chicken and Tandoori tikka lamb then wandered around for a while before getting a bottle of wine and returning to the boat for the evening. A glass of Chilean white and a bowl of Nepalese and all was right with the world.

Sunday was a much slower start. Got up early enough, rolled out around 6 or so, made some tea and a pipeful of white haze then hung out with the duck family. Actually i found out that they are coots. Papa coot is so funny, he takes any bread i give him and swims over to mama who takes it from him and distributes to the babies. The wife and i finally got moving by abut 10 and decided to go see sunday art markets.
I love this city in the morning, the quality of the light and the crisp air gives me a sense of both excitement and wonderment. That could be the Temple Ball though. It IS like floating in a glass cloud, everything is so bright and sparkly and i notice eveything around me. Such a contrast from the Maroc Polm.
We arrived at the art market on Spuistraat. Nice small market, mostly painters and a couple of ceramists, one of whom made ceramic puzzle boxes, try figuring out one of those stoned as shit!
From there we traveled to the market on the Rembrandtplein. It was smaller than the first but still fun to wander through and look at all the colors and images. After looking at all the work here we sat out in front of Smokeys and pondered our next move. We realised that stix was close so off we went. We found the place and went inside. The budtender was young and very friendly and helpful, he explained the different strains for my wife and let her see them all and smell them. We decided on the bubblegum 1g 10e and, of course, more templeball.

The taste of the bud was kinda non-descript, not unpleasant but not remarkable either, it left a rather sweet taste on the palet, great vehicle for the NTB which was every bit as good as the last stuff i got.
From here we made our way over to the warehouse district. Man i woudnt mind owning one of those. It was fascinating to think about how alive and vibrant that place must have been during the height of power of the dutch east indies company. We wandered though here and headed over to my old stomping grounds when i lived here for a summer 25 years ago. Cool flashbacks. Sat and had a bowl in the stoop where i befriended an old yellow cat back then. Heres to you Joop! After our trip down memory lane we scooted over to Waterlooplein. On Sundays it is all book sellers. Since we were in the area, and had not yet been, we decided to go to Basjoe.
Having heard all the hooplah from this forum concerning Basjoe i didnt know what to expect. I felt like i was about to enter the holy of holies or something. The place was rather empty and there was james standing behind the counter. I went up and and ordered a couple of mint teas and introduced my self to him. What a delightful person he is! VERY mellow and friendly. I gave him some artwork a friend of mine in the states made to give to him and he seemed really appreciative. I didnt buy any weed here this time as we have ALOT to smoke but i will try the special before we leave. We hung out and had our tea and enjoyed the vibe of Basjoe for a while then made our way back to the houseboat.
Another wonderful day in the Dam
