Give the place a F- (if only Z was a mark)
You don't seem to have very much luck wherever you go fella...

I don't like mayo or the usual stuff they put in burgers, but every time I have been to BurgerBar, they have been nice as pie and done the burger exactly the way I wanted it. Perhaps it's just the way you talk to them?

I've said this before in other threads, but it has always been a good rule to live by - don't mess with or badmouth people who;

a) Prepare food for you,
b) Fly planes for you or serve on those planes,
c) Have a nice collection of rubber gloves with which to inspect your most personal places - i.e. customs agents.

As far as the supermarket situation is concerned, well, I do most of my grocery shopping at the big Sainsburys near to my house, but if I buy anything from the Sainsburys in the city center, I can guarantee that it's gonna be at least 10-20p more per item than it is by me. Same with Tescos, same with all the major supermarkets...

This isn't to trap the tourists into spending their money - it's purely down to the fact that the business rates and rent on city center stores is vastly higher than out of the main conurbations. It's not a conspiracy by any stretch, but then if you despise us French, African, American and British tourists for all the diseases and bugs we all clearly carry, then you might want to leave Albert Heijn to the rest of us dirty b@$%£^&s, cos we don't mind shopping there! :wink: We'll happily use all those restaurants you hate as well and keep well out of your way at the same time! Would you mind posting a list of the places you are boycotting, please?

I had to laugh when I read your comments on how the Police will only give tickets to the poor people drinking the AH beer - the reason anyone would get a ticket is down to the fact that you can't drink in public, not the brand on the bottle/can. If you were only given a warning for drinking a Heineken, than consider yourself lucky. I sincerely doubt the Police have the time or the energy to only target people buying AH branded stuff! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Maybe it's the Masons! Are they involved in Albert Heijn's sinister plot to take over the whole of the Netherlands? Now that makes more sense... :shock:

My first stop for food in a couple of weeks will be BurgerBar once again, and it will probably be my second, third and most likely fourth stop as well.

:wink:

I've had BB twice... the first time I was absolutely blown away, the best burger I've had in years. This was from the Central one.

Second time, I went to the Rembrandtplein shop. The burger was very nice, but didn't blow me away quite the same as the other one. Same order, too.

I'm guessing it makes quite a lot of difference who makes the burger, some people will add more or less sauce, different proportions of toppings etc.
