Went to Cafe Loetje yesterday and had a very tasty meal.

Left de Graal, and this place is literally right around the corner. Hehe, that was the plan.
Must have arrived around 5pm and had our choice of seating.

Ordered and ate a small but tender piece of beef swimming in that naughty au jus/butter sauce. The frites on the side were perfectly cooked and will keep me from Vlemincx sp? this visit, they were that good.

Since it's not a huge steak, I had room for appelgebak and ijs. Nice dessert. Apple pie and ice cream, fyi.

Topped all that off with a visit to Katsu for an after dinner smoke of Mexican ice cream isolator. That was yummy, as well. All soft, black and sticky. I just ripped the bag seams open instead of fooking around pinching in for this stuff. Nice hard buzz, it is.

Despite losing a gram of Caramelo hash somewhere in de Graal, this was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The turtle in de Graal's aquarium is quite active and very cool to watch.

Sorry, got off topic.

Two thumbs up for Cafe Loetje, indeed.

erm El Rancho, Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 114 - 1017 NN Amsterdam take a left out of nes cafe, walk through your first alley on your right, take a left going away from Dam square, past the coral hotel take a right to go down the road towards tweedy karma and you will see it on your left straight away yellow neon sign i think, impeccable steaks that melt in your mouth. lovely french fries too crispy fresh. pepper corn sauce burst of flavour. juicy. :P
On top of the dreams is where I'm found.
