I've thought this before. Some cats just don't dig the fresh stuff.

A mate had a ginger tom that liked weed just as much as catnip. Was a tad annoying as you can imagine.

some cats eat it...i threw the whole pack of seeds in a pot of potting soil...they only need to be just under the surface of the soil and kept damp to grow...there are many varieties of catnip...might have to grow a few to see what yer cat likes best...stompy likes all kinds...he tries to get in the pot with it..and he likes it dry...

Totally inspired by SS67's thread , I filled up some old wooden plant pots that were in the garden, bought a few bedding plants and a few packs of seeds ( do not ask me what, I do not know  ) and thought I'd give this malarkey a try....Being a noob, I don't know what yer supposed to do, so I just threw all the seeds in, spread out the bedding plants, gave em a good water, and boom.....this shit is easy  ..they are all just flowers, the intent is just to add a wee bit colour to my shitey garden...
So I bumped this thread, rather than high-jack SS67's.

Twitch, some of those seedlings look like sunflowers to me, I'd guess a lot of flowers start off looking the same though.

I'll take some pics of my garden once the weather picks up, heavy rain, thunder and hail so far today.

I think I defo, maybe, might have, possibly bought some Salvia...Big Red thing on the packet?...And I'm 90% unsure that I almost certainly bought some Poppy Seeds...I know for sure, I scattered 7 packs, thats how many I bought :D ..they all had such pwetty colours.
Did I mention I am clueless?

my old cat mocha used to love catnip ... one day i went to the garden center to buy some plants for the herb garden and saw a catnip plant and thought i'd give it a try ... so i got home and went to the garden, put the small pot of catnip down on the ground, knelt down to dig over the patch where the catnip was to go, then turned around to get the pot and found that my cat had just eaten the entire top of plant off and was looking at me quite strangely ... well he was tripping and off he went doing some rather silly things
