Day 4 Sunday April 23 .....OUR LAZY DAY

Post by bluelaru »

Day 4…………Sunday April 23……………………Lazy day

We had always planed on being lazy today….We really were being lazy hanging out
In room…..Honey do you want to go the the temple…ok when do we have to leave …
Now…..na, lets put it on the list for next time. I set off the fire arlm smoking in
The room and got in a little trouble for smoking pot…reg cig ok… so we are forced to move down to the grasshopper.

I like the grasshopper…Sometimes I didn’t like the music being played…but I loved
Sitting on the sidewalk in a glass box watching the world go by. ( I’m not a normal
Person…however I don’t consider myself above anyone…just different.)
I always look into server eye when talking…and even though I know I don’t have to tip
I always do give 1 or 2 euro…always say please and thank you…always smile. Since
Judy with me I play with pot and talk to her…oh I’m again buying on of my three favorite pots of the trip….Blueberry…I THINK I LOVE YOU…to me it has a slight
Lemony taste…I make Judy try…one taste…Oh Judy thank you for not smoking ( always more for me) but I wish you could know how I feel…Who knows she gets to see how I feel….I wonder what’s funnier
So I buy 3.5 grams of blueberry for 52.50 euro and 3.5 grams of skuff for 35.00 euro

I leave Judy @ Grasshopper and run down to …giant eyeball…..where I make what’s become a daily purchase…Bud tender see me and starts digging for my usual…8 grams
Of White Widow / Cantaloupe Haze...for 40.00 euro…OMG…yes my other favorite.

I go back to Grasshopper and Roll some 5 to 7 Super Duper with skuff…and what else
I have left…Grey crystals. I think… anyway I make bombs after all I’m going on the smoking boat. Judy has been looking at the excursions we pick one to go on tomorrow.
(To those of you who know me…you might be shaking your head in disbelief…saying to yourselves …now why the hell would she do that…Well…Ha…much to my dismay
We have hardly done any of the things on my list…hempmpht…Judy clears throat…
List my ass…Kim…You made a dam book, Kim…Yes…I did if the truth be known I
Researched …. Printed …cut up… and glued…now I have a wonderful book full of things we didn’t do…Judy says our new mantra is…We’ll do it next time….)

My point seems to be…that time some how evaporates

We go and book a 4 hour excursion

We Jump tram and to Boom Chicago in Leidersplein…arrive on time , only to find out that our trip has been canceled…boat trouble…Soccer Game Trouble more like it…because…we can rebook for tomorrow…ok I’ve been waiting this long…what is another day…..Tomorrow @ 4 pm it is… and off we go now we need to find something to do…We wonder up Leidersplein and find ourselves going into a fries shop…(OMG
When these people, here on forum, recommend something, unless totally not your thing, try…we go in to try even though we don’t think we are hungry….100 % correct fries are the best on planet…that We’ve eaten.)…..Down comes the rain…OMG…if we had been on the boat trip, we would be soaking…love the rain…but Even I must draw the line somewhere…it is Kismet, Serendipity, my magic, or just plain stupid luck….I say not but that is as they say another story….We decide to go in search of the seven bridges…We turn at Herengracht and follow around to Reguliersgracht, one end of Reguliersgracht ends at Rembrandtplein…kind of….what I did not know at the time is that there is an exact X marks the spot type place where you can see 15 bridges….OK ONE MORE TIME…..It should have gone without saying that I’ve been smoking my fattys, as we have been walking all around this area taking photos, and really enjoying how different it is from where I’ve grown up ( Now I want to all to know this inset my first trip out of the US of A…but this is my first trip to spring…basically I’ve really never seen spring…and Spring, Springing… and the stark difference between the end of winter and spring sprung. Some of the places we have seen today are like that…you look one way…and you still see winter stark empty and grey….turn your head 30 degrees…you see spring…and all the fullness of color that the color green has to offer, and for a girl from palm tree land, this is the type of thing and textures, I find myself gobbling up, like an out of control kid….We are wandering around the square at Rembrandtplein it starts to rain again really hard prompting us to take shelter in the tram station…Hey what’s the story with the bronze men….By the way for those of you not there yet….A bunch 12 to 15 life
Size bronze men…in what appeared at first glance to be 1 grouping…depicting 1 thing…………………………………no I really don’t think so…………..But like I said
Its really raining and I’m trying to take everything home with me…I’m in rain taking photos like a crazy person…but my minds eye caught …the difference…that I later see on photo….they are indeed different…so any one ????? what is the story…(thanking whomever in advance for input)………….For once glad tram doesn’t come before rain slows to drizzle…come on Judy…lets stroll in the rain….she grabs my hand…this is a wonderful feeling to be able to hold hands with someone, without fear…there are so many reasons this place is called freedom Ville, and I love it…..IT TOOK 10 YEARS
But the DUTCH built US…GAY PEOPLE…A MONUMENT…I LOVE THEM FOR
THAT…My Judy is a very shy person…she truly cares what other people think, so for her to feel safe, and comfortable enough to do the simple act of hold my hand, Mecca, we stroll proudly hand in hand down Kalverstraat, boom we’re at the Flower market…Since the tempeture has dropped some fifteen degree we use the stores…both the flower market stalls and the stores like the great Chinese store to stay semi dry and warm…then we are back at tram stop jump on one headed for the dam…get off at first dam square stop because we need to walk around and price all the required tourist crap
So we will know if we are being lead like lemming.( Sorry my lemming friend…not to be taken for our own Lemming… but rather like the rodent Lemmings who stupidly jump
Off cliff…..OMG ME JUDY AND FRIEND JUMPED OUT OF PLANE IN JAN…)
To a tourist place to bee ripped off ….So we walk all around dam square and in and out of all the shops on Damrik…with our homework done we decide to use the cut thru by 420
And that Bakery across from 420…HEVAN….well whatever… that’s what it should be called… we buy some cheese sand/croissant type thing….great…then as we are waiting for them to finish heating …I spot my new addiction….G—DAM IT…Why couldn’t we just have gotten our sandwich, and run why…why…why did we have to linger…to this day this thought haunts my mind…and keeps me awake at night…there just is no soothing the savage beast…like I said I should have run and never crossed…walked…been any where near …but OMG too late …I found myself uttering
Those dastardly words…. That chocolate thing…I take one of those….WORDS I REGRET EVERYDAY…. Any one what the Hell is that wonderful Choc cake with creamy choc filling and a choc icing…any one…come on fess up I know I’m not the only sucker to fall prey….ok WHATever…

Back to room to pig out on wonderful food, great blood red orange juice, and that thing for dessert…we watch our DVD …glad we bought with us for times like this…

7.5 grams of Pot 72.50 Euro
3.5 grams of Hash 35.00 Euro

I definately know what you mean by time evaporating in Amterdam. Even if you are trying to stick by some kind of schedule, you find yourself with less hours in the day than normal.

Great set of reports - thoroughly enjoyed reading them...about to read day 5!

The enthusiasm you had during your trip has clearly been brought into your reports which are highly entertaining to say the least.

You can always count on a downpour at least once during a stay in Amsterdam. Sometimes you welcome it and other times you don't.
