Day 5…………..Monday April 24…….Cliff Notes…and camera malfunction
Good Morning…..Its Cliff Notes Day… and for those of you who don’t know what cliff
Notes is/are…its for people who don’t read the book assigned in class, plain and simple
However other will have you know its so you can understand the development of characters…. Ok whatever… I always read the book…I like reading…even when hated book, and had hard time reading…still never used cliff notes…truth be told…at that time we couldn’t afford.
Cliff notes gives you a synopsis of plot… story line…or charter
Holland in 4 hours…cliff notes…Zaanse Schans…The Windmill village…We went into the clog makers shop..kind of Cool.Nabbed a couple of quick photos..Judy is already looking for shoes …yes I’m buying wooden shoes for myself. She finds a plain pain for
Whatever…I cant remember now …but if Judy says we should buy…we buy…
We run to other gift shop…and find T-shirt that a lil different then what we had already seen. We pay to use the bathroom…thankgoodness we thought of it first…line forms behind… but we already done and moving on…we about ten minuets to kill…but not enough time to wander amidst the other working windmill…one makes mustard…that I would have like to have seen…there is also A boat ride on the Zaans schans river past all the windmills…there is also a museum that I would have liked to have spent time in…not this time…nanana….hey hey hey hey not this time…
TOUR BOOK PEOPLE………you’ll need to UPDATE….no traditional costumes
NO TRAD. COSTUMES in either…VOLENDAM or MARKEN…only CHEEZY
Cheese Farm… with a quick 15 minuet lecture on how they make cheese. Shuffle into cheese selling room, with samples of all their cheese…..I don’t mind being taken here, I even bought some cheese…which I must say was really great…Back on bus and away we are whisked away to VolemDam…I know this because I got a snap of the Museum sa we drove passed…we walk across a cute metal bridge and led down some back alleys …I figure out why later…then we come out at end of board walk away from ferry. Judy and I make quick work of the the souvenir shopping issue…and we both find cheaper than dam Tee shirts we like and buy for 3 for 25 …them we are free to explore what we can …as quick as we can…Tour guide had told us that the South Sea was now fresh…oh yeah, well lets seeeee….it really is I tasted it…along with picking up a few sea shells a piece of broken glass.. and a rock…Own a piece of the rock…sorry…sidetracked, reliving a memory ….so we have been led to the end on purpose…so shop people on end will have business…we have to walk the boardwalk to get to where we are boarding the ferry ride…woopie…part of tour…actually when I starting planning my trip here I always planed on taking the Ferry…..SOOOOO glad I didn’t waste my own precious time trying to get from here to there …especially nobody wears tradional dress anymore …and that’s what I wanted to see….So this cliff notes version is really worth it…We’d seen ..the Giant Wind turbines…A guy in a racing suit riding a bike, an top of a dike…
Snapshots of Holland…we had only gone about 30 minutes out of the dam….All of a sudden Nemo, and the Dolly Parton bridges pop into view…we are back…..Book Report
Complete….
Once back….I run to the eyeball…love you Widow Cantaloupe…8 wonderful gram’s for40 euro…then to Grass hopper for 5 grams of that Blueberry for75 euro…I also grab some more of the skuff 3.5 grams for 35.00 euro…I really had wanted to try gun powered
From Stix just never got there …so I buy plenty to bump up the joint…..STILL FREAKING TRING TO GET A WHITEY…..
We are finally on the boat 4 couples total…3 American 1 Italian…3 Older…1 Younger
1 Gay couple 3 Straight…3 have exact same model of camera……
Italian, younger straight , gay….same Canon Power shot
Straight younger couple…only female smoked…..shit I know I fucked them all up with the five bombs I smoked non stop our whole trip…DID I MENTION BEFORE I LIKE TO SMOKE…I was making fun of the chickie doo who had what she called a joint but what I could barely see with the naked eye….as a matter of fact…I have seen toothpicks that looked, wait q-tips have look fatter…….then she appears to sneak…I almost loose it
And Judy gives me a bump that sys control yourself…..we don’t want to get thrown into the drink just because you’re an idiot about the pot…..
I’m……sorry….chickie doo…but really …I’ve cleaned my ears with bigger q-tips )
The one thing thing that really hit me again …as I’m writing…is the freedom to smoke openly…and the braveness to try…AND the GRATEFULLNESS that there is such a land…the home of my HEART.
Anyway we as it seam’s have had a camera mal function…Judy says Operator error…
Ok whatever…Judy you are the one who operation…never blame the operator…..
So we must go back to room change out memory card and battery…ms made girl scout
Has kicked in yeah whatever…I just always carry extra crap. You never know…Presto Chango we are back in action and ready for part two…..
Coffee Break…..
We went to the boats in Dam square only to find out that you must either to to the place in front of Central station or up by the Mutton…..ok we have the tram pass so we opt to go up town to the area around the mutton…Boats go every thirty minutes…great now its still too light out so we again set off in a walk about…we wander around and pop out at the spruand then all of a sudden we are standing in front of Kanji de Tiger…..(which I again must give props to the recommendations of the forum.) Rice Table…not to be missed…great….even Judy, who is picky eater…eat almost everything…and there is a lot 11 dished in all…I cant remember all Although what impressed me the most is that Judy ate veggies done in coconut milk…She doesn’t like coconut…and I cant get her to try any thing even remotely related to coconut at home …..here she ate them all….bring your appetite…..its a bit pricy…but I was prepared…and we haven’t even come close to busting our allotted budget of 60 euro a day for food….GREAT…..WORTH EVERY PENNY….must do…
After being rolled out we are happy to be walking …back to boats…and we board and find ourselves with an tour of Italian…Third time today ….first time on tour buss
Second time smoking boat…third time on the night cruse… It’s a good thing I’m of
That background…ethnicity… Hey…guess what we learned….. you should not always use flash… and you should know how to turn it off when needed. That my friends should be enuff said…..well yes you guess it our second camera malfunction of the day… I think that I need another trip…please Judy, Judy.
And YES… we do know that you can open window’s… not sitting in front of any or you can surly bet that I would opened…
I’m already planning next years 4/20 and what I want to do…
Oh I’m daydreaming…Back on tram down rokin to dam…we jump out and are pulled to HEAVEN…like a magnet….dam you…choc cake thingy….JUDY GET YOUR OWN

Just how do you manage to score the 8g deal anyway? Must be such a major favourite and I suppose the asking price of only 40 Euros will be a major contributing factor.
Your reports are great for people (like myself) who have been to Amsterdam but haven't actually been anywhere or seen much of the place.
Glad I didn't do the choccy thing. Sounds like a real heart stopper.

Thanks for writing, I had a fun time reading your reports. Your writing is very good and has a nice flow to it. I smiled to myself when I read about the cliff notes
That’s what I’m doing right now, I bought a street map of Amsterdam and now I’m marking the spots of the places I plan to go and so on. Post-it
It amuses me, as daydreaming about Amsterdam always does...
Hand holding at the Flower market paited a nice picture for me, and how I wish that every place on earth could have one, you know? Again; thanks for sharing and take care!
