I was just looking at an old trip report of mine, some of the pics have gone courtesy of tinypic (apparently), but some had actually been substituted for some really weird stuff, which I've deleted. Anybody know what the story might be on that please:?: Are there picture trolls or whatever? strange place this internet

The ones dropped by tinypic were just random scenery stuff, no bud porn. (or any porn for that matter)

I would guess that when they deleted the pictures the code at the end of the url is just given to the next person who uploads.

my suggestion is to check whether the url of your tinypic.com picture in your report has been changed from the original url or not
to do this you would have to save a copy of the original trip report in a text file separate from the acd forum
if the picture troll strikes again, save the corrupted trip report in the forum as a second text file
compare the files
if the url for any of pictures has been changed in the second copy of the trip report, then the acd forum has been invaded by a picture troll who has the ability to change text stored in the messages of the forum database
if none of the urls are different, then the picture troll has invaded tinypic.com and has the ability to change the picture that a given url points to
unless, of course, boner is correct that tinypic.com recycles urls and reassigns the urls for deleted pictures ... to me this does seem unlikely as this practice would cause chaos in the tinypic.com user community
it certainly is a mystery ... remain vigilant
