Dogs?

Post by Sir Niall of Essex-sire »

Any dog owners in here? I'm a dog person for sure ( insert joke about girlfriend here.) Currently own a German Shepard (Heinz) and a Rottweiler (Bugs). Used to have a Pitbull, but it died a few years back.

I grew up with a dog and my younger sister has an australian shepard (3 years old).
I'm interested in an irish-wolfhound or better two!

My dog and I. His name is Napoleon. He's still my boy. I moved out of home 2 years ago and so he is still at home with my parents because I live in an apartment. It's OK though, because my mum has taken a liking to him, and she walks him everyday. And he adores her. I miss him though

I love dogs, i will be getting a jack russel terrier eventually, want to wait until we are done with alot of our traveling first.
We have two cats, and they are great friends to have about, i love how indipendant our cats are but still love to hang out and be loved :D .
BTW our cat was a pregnant stray, when she gave birth we kept one from her litter, and they have been family ever since.

2 dogs:

14-year old Pit Bull named Ripley...still a pistol...mostly blind...mostly deaf...been the sweetest dog I've ever owned...

10-year old Shetland Sheepdog (aka Sheltie) named Nanny...rescued her from my sister  ...have had her for 7 years...

Other animals reside here as well: 3 kitties (Harvey is the stoner cat), 3 fish and 2 frogs...

I confess to be a dog rather than a cat lover.

I rescued my dog, a Collie - German Shepherd cross called Gyspy from an animal shelter when I was 12 years old. Sadly she has since passed to doggy heaven, she was the best dog ever and hence I know I could not replace her and am currently dogless :( That said, my neighbour's dog (a springer) appears to have adopted me :)

Loving the fact that a lot of people have rescue dogs, this will be the route we take when we decide to get a dog.

I have a Mongrel called Marley. Had him for almost 10 or 11 years. Since he was a puppy.
My buddys bitch dissapeared for a few days, and when she finally turned up, she was preggers. 7 wee pups were born, 6 were taken ( all the Blond, boring looking ones ) the one left was a black and tan colour. I stepped in and took Marley home with me, other wise, he was headed for the Cat and Dog home.
He is a barker for sure, very loud, and deep. But he is a big softy for the most part. Find that spot behind his ears, and he is putty in yer hands. He is getting on a bit now, and is no longer the bag of energy he once was. I love dogs ( hate cats  ) but feel I could never have another dog.
