Good places for Breakfast & Smoke??

Post by Heath Eagle »

Hi,
Going to the Dam in late July & my hotel does not do breakfast. Could people please recommend good places to enjoy a cooked breakfast & an early smoke?
Cheers,

I really liked the V and D cafeteria for breakfast , no smoking though.
Good prices, great selection, very clean and REAL coffee , not those tiny little tea cups with instant coffee.

Or start the day with a few nice selections from De Kuil and then stroll 30 seconds down the road for a tasty stop at BurgerBar. Barneys is just too expensive for what you get these days, imho.

Yep, you've got the advantage of being able to do both food and smoke at the same time in there, but the last few times I was there, I was fairly unimpressed with the quality, and frankly, the quantity of the food, considering the rather high prices...

Doesn't Stones do a fry-up there? Early opening as well from what I understand, but I've never found the time to ever go in. Last time I was about to enter the place, I was confronted with a large and very drunk group of english stag-night-type fools just inside, and I decided to go somewhere where I might actually enjoy the atmosphere better! Must give it at least one try the next time I'm over in September - no free brekky in the hotel this time...
