Best table game?

Post by RollUp »

Puffpuffgive mentioned playing the monopoly cars in his report (which is a kickass game) and it made me think of this thread idea.

Personal faves:
Farkle
Monopoly cards
bananagrams (it is kind of hard when your high though)
stratego
texas hold'em

What board/card/table games do you like?

Are you high right now?

Battle ships
snakes and ladders (I'm really a child)

For the floor whilst stoned - can't beat a good old game of twister :)

Beggar My Neighbour is a great card game for journeys, with 2 packs can last ages.
Best table game would be Asteroids or Galxians

MouseTrap, Escape from Colditz, Bloodbowl and Buckaroo, which I didn't really like but it was a good year when I got that as one of my xmas presents as a kid, so it brings back good memories.

Hold'em, cribbage and Old maid, which is quite a vicious game but also brings back good memories as a kid.

Trivial pursuit aint bad either but I don't like playing with anybody that calls it a wedge. No matter what anybody else says, it's a piece of PIE!. :D

Some classic 70s games there, crossfire was good too.
I always call it a piece of cheese, isn't pie a bit flatter? Wedge makes no sense

Yeah, I got crossfire around the same time, not an easy game to play quietly at 5am on xmas morning. I think we started off calling it cheese too, now ya mention it, but when the great pie/wedge debate kicked off ya had to choose sides because it just did yer head in trying to convince them cheese was a good idea. :D

Magic the Gathering

Been playing for fun and in tournaments on and off for 15 years now. Great fun and great for creativity. I could be sick at the amount of money it's cost me though.

Ive always wanted to try that Magic Gathering thing.
Its a card based fantasy game right ?
Always sounded pretty cool to me.
I used to play Dungeons and Dragons back in the late 70s early 80s, used to love it, spent all my money on books and modules, lead figures so i can relate i think.
