Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I was just wondering if anyone has a particular favourite book or books that they really enjoyed

I have two:
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
The Colour Purple - Alice Walker

To chill out and have chuckle to I lift a one of my battered Bill Bryson books

I'm always after a good read (as well as weed) so please share your thoughts...

I am an avid fiction reader, great post.

Right now, I've been plodding through Kingdom of Fear, by Hunter S. Thompson.

The Eyes Of The Dragon by Stephen King is a fun, quick read...

Fun book, and quite unlike alot of his other stuff.
I finnished " Under The Dome " by him last week, was pretty good, but not up there with The Stand or The Talisman.

Does the latest Argos catalogue count? lol

The Emperor Wears No Clothes by Jack Herer.

Fungus the Bogeyman. (Plop up book) by Raymond Briggs.

I seem to have identified quite a few comedians with this thread!

Mine was actually a serious choice this time, ya didn't say it had to be a novel. I'm very proud of my mint condition copy of Fungus.

wow there are some really good books on here. I too am a big Stephen king fan, my favorite being "the stand".

my fave lately has been The Watchmen - it's a dandy.
