APPARTMENT wanted!

4 people, 4 nights, seeking self catering appartment which ALLOWS smoking.

That has private toilet and 2 sleeping areas.

Maybe we have left it too late, but this appears very difficult to find without paying over 1000 euro's.

Can not find any boat houses available for these dates which meets the 4 people smoking criteria. I've had trouble in the past booking for 2 people.

But this 4 person think is a joke, 2 couples one in 20's other in 60's, so a shit hole is not acceptable as they have been around alright and expect something nice.

Uhm, not sure about the availability, but I'm staying at the Greenhouse Effect Hotel. It's got several smoke-friendly rooms as well as a few apartments and a coffeeshop at the bottom. Most rooms should be of decent standard, although the "loft" might be one you should avoid. Personally getting the Canal View one, which has an awesome view of the Damrak as well as the canal boats next to it. It is €185 per night, and houses 4 people in 2 separate bedrooms, has a kitchen and yeah.. It's large, according to most reviews.

I'm going on July 22nd thru 26th, so the Canal View one obviously won't be available at that date, but check out their website or call them. I should add that the hotel is located right in the RLD so if you're into that, it's worth a shot.

P.S. I would not have stumbled across this hotel if it hadn't been for a nice lady answering the phone at the Hemp Hotel, who told me to check it out. Hence, Hemp Hotel might be a way to go as well.

Checking out on the 26th. I only booked it 5 days ago, don't think many people know about it cos they told me I could have it when I called on the phone. All the other rooms were taken.

EDIT: It's also not on the website, or in the list of bookable rooms with their online booking agent. Call them and make an enquiry first, then do the whole reservation form.
