First Stop, First Strain

Post by Iko »

Do you guys have a shop you hit first when you get to Amsterdam , and a specific strain ?
Do you get something relatively mild, or go hardcore ?
I was planning on hitting Grey Area first, but our flight lands at 6pm so im not sure ill be able to get there before there closing time which i think is 8pm right ?

I always go to Abraxas first, simply because that was my first ever visit to a coffeeshop. I don't go for a specific strain, I just ask what is particularly good at the mo, and as for the strength I go for middle of the road as I always forget how strong weed is in the Dam and I would die from embarassment if I whitied!

...and I can't remember what time Grey Area closes, sorry!

Enjoy the trip Iko I know it's not too far away now, lucky person you :)

It used to be the old Dampkring but the last 5 trips or so it has been Grey Area. This used to be quite problematic when it was just Jon and Steve. Since they've gotten staff, I haven't had to wait much longer than say, ten minutes after their opening time of noon.

As for a specific strain at GA, it depends on what happens to be bruited about the forums lately. For example, right now, I have my eye on the Casey Jones, Sleestack, and ECSD. Hopefully, one of those strains will still be around.

Right. GA closes at 8 pm so you should make it with time to spare. Hopefully they won't have sold out of everything. Part of the charm of arriving in Mokum, for me at least, is a toke of something powerful, something that christens the upcoming trip with a debilitating mindf*ck. Something that announces to every cringing neuron in my brain, BEWARE for I have come ashore on the land of the lotos eaters and many fabulous delights await.
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

i always take about a gram with me in case we miss a flight or something which will normally go to John at the GA, but sometimes i am so beat i'll just toss it in the pipe i bring for a quick buzz before venturing out...then it's usually whatever is closest to the current residence for a punch buzz and onward to some choice shops... ...take some good PIX of that zoo/aquarium in rotterdam :D

Last trip my first smoke was the nevilles haze from 420. Found it a bit too strong for a first smoke (I only smoke when in the dam). SO will probably set my sights on something weaker like the nepalese temple ball from stix on utrechtsestraat. Any reccomendations for a first time (MELLOW/NOT COUCH LOCK) smoke?.
Next trip 1st August 2015. 2 weeks camping/putting my feet up.

Sadly the Dark Star has vanished into orbit for now.

But happily you can still choose from... Jack Herer, Crystal Lady, White Willem, Sensi Star, Bubblegum, Lavender, Kushadelic, Chronic, Mako Haze, SoGouda, G13/Amnesia, Super Silver Haze, NYC Diesel, Blue Cheese, Amnesia Haze, 100% Sativa, Chocolope, LA Confidential, Lemon Haze or Big Buddha Cheese... ;-)

Groetjes!
