:D :D Wow, when I was very young, around 9 years old I remember my parents organising my birthday video party and top of the bill was Tron.

Thanks for that, I love flashback memories from my past. :D :D

When I was 25 I had meningitis and since then I have very little memories of my younger days.

This little flashback really made my day, cheers. :D

Righty, I'll go take a peak at them links now...

The same director who just completed this Tron sequal has just begun work on a retelling of another Disney Scifi masterwork : THE BLACKHOLE.
YAY
Seems Scifi movies always do well at the boxoffice but for some reason there are so damn few of them, makes no sense to me.

You must miss a few then as theres always sci-fi movies about: http://www.imdb.com/chart/scifi

The thing that worries me about Tron is they're putting it out in 3D, I dont know if it's been made with 3D in mind or it's just being added.

Boner, i meant relatively speeking.
Alot on that list are not "scifi", atleast not in a classic SCIFI sense.
When i think SCIFI i think
-2001
-Close Encounters
-Alien

Not Iron Man.
As for the 3D, im not a fan of 3D, though Avatar did utilise it really well. Supposedly Tron was filmed with the same cameras as Avatar and made to be 3D, not an after the filming hackjob like i read Clash Of The Titans was.
/ fingers crossed

Tron is a 1982 American science fiction film released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film was scripted and directed by Steven Lisberger, based on a story by Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, David Warner, Cindy Morgan and Barnard Hughes. A computer programmer is transported inside the software world of a mainframe computer, where he interacts with various programs in his attempt to get back out. Development of Tron began in 1976 when Lisberger became fascinated with the early video game Pong. Along with producer Donald Kushner, he set up an animation studio to develop Tron with the intention of making it an animated film. Lisberger decided to include live-action elements with the computer animation. Various film studios had rejected the storyboards for the film before the project was set up at Disney. There, backlit animation was combined with the computer animation and live-action.
