I'm planning my move too. I've been jumping through the hoops, and will gladly share any info. I'll be looking for places, signing my lease at the beginning of December. We should make an afternoon of it. Looking for flats, go to a couple bars, and a few CSs. Check my "in town" dates and Let me know!

With the exchange rate heading in the wrong direction I might need to start padding my savings a little. Booking my flight within the next 3 weeks, can't believe it's just a little over 6 months now!

Selling 95% of my belongings. Since I will be dropping a couple of thousand euros to get into a flat, it's not feasible to come with just the clothes on back. I guess I'll need to figure out how to win some of my cool points back

Hint hint.

I'm going to Trinidad in February, Australia/Guam in March and New Zealand in April. So I'll spend about 6 months bouncing between the US, Europe, Caribbean and the South Pacific. I really don't want to sign a lease and pay for flat I'm not living in. So I've decided to take the money for my business class ticket and come over for a couple of weeks starting November 20. Then back to the States for 6 weeks before heading to Trinidad for Carnaval. Back to the States for 2 weeks then off to Guam via Hawaii for a few days then on to Sydney and Melbourne for two weeks. Back to the States for 3 weeks then off to New Zealand for two weeks. Then back again to the States for 2 weeks to tie up some lose ends. Then to Europe indefinitely on May 16th. I wish I could route my flight through AMS but it would add almost 10 hours to my journey. Just thinking about all this flying is making me tired.

Just cashed in my Continental miles for a one-way ticket to Amsterdam. Flying on Lufthansa via Frankfurt arriving on May 17th at 12:35. I'll be in 't Nes all night partying my ass off! T - 271 Days 18 Hours and 30 Minutes
