I know what you mean, of course those people have to pay rents, their food etc., but I would like to see that this kind of information is available to all of us, but thats a major opinion of me about science, it should be free, like education should....this was more a critic to this whole money-systemPuffin13 wrote:Where would you go otherwise to learn about this information? The hour long documentary is about the same price as a music CD or a Hollywood made DVD movie, which most people wouldnt bat an eye at purchasing, if they really wanted it. You could read it in a book, somewhere down the line, if it made it into book form, but you would have to purchase the book then, wouldnt you? Not much in this world is free, unfortunately, especially dealing with cannabis. Pot Peace.

A Scientific forum which gives information free of charge, how unlikely...wait...what about the muesums which don't charge entry fee?Puffin13 wrote:Where would you go otherwise to learn about this information? I have a hard time understanding why people on a marijuana forum want to deny the legitimacy of all the scientific studies that say marijuana helps fight cancer. We should be giving thanks to these scientists for giving marijuana a good name not questioning the legitimacy of their scientific method in my opinion.
I personally think the attitude of acceptance and not questionning has made a laughing stock of the MMJ movement and to be straight with you, the scene in California.
To be taken seriously in this particular reasoning we have to challenge these scientists and question what they say, that's how science works. It's not an insult to the scientists, it's the way it is. I don't question their method, at least in this case, i question the use of the conculsions by MMJ activists.

OK so you're ready to question the legitimacy of a SCIENTIFIC study, but you believe in a study where someone randomly questioned schizo patients in a mental hospital about their marijuana use. They use REAL science in a scientific study, they don't use chance. You go ahead and question a real scientific study, I'll stick to questioning the random poll.Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:Reading evidently isn't your strong point.Stanky Danky wrote:Still having a hard time trying to figure out why a marijuana forum has so many skeptics of the medicinal properties of marijuana..

100% in agreement, Puffin. I have a mind of my own and use it... good thing I didn't grow up in the country of my ethnic origin, pretty certain they would have killed my self-thinking, outspoken, rebellious, female (_[_). They may be Persian, but the women in my family are more successful here in the U.S. than the men... and that's a fact. Never let a f*cking government dictate your happiness.Puffin13 wrote:we all have been duped by governments, pharmaceutical and chemical companies. WAKE UP PEOPLE! We should all chip in and buy an island where we make the laws, wouldn't that be sweet?
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
well, if we all put some money together there should be a nice place we can buyislandgurl wrote:100% in agreement, Puffin. Nice idea IG. Got me looking around the inter-web. Now, if only I were to win the Lottery? Any wealthy benefactors out there willing to give it a go?

Do you also question the scientists and/or pharmaceutical companies for their pills and drugs?Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:To be taken seriously in this particular reasoning we have to challenge these scientists and question what they say, that's how science works. half of science like sir nial said is questioning theories. they question and questiuon and question it more and until its agreed upon by a majority of scientists its just an idea/theory.
but if mj did cure cancer i'd reccomend it and i think people would be all over it.
speaking of cancer folks my friend joe has just been diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma. if you guys could keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery it would be appreciated.

You're fucking stupid,Stanky Danky wrote:Niall isn't questioning a theory he's questioning the results of real science. The theory comes before the study, which uses real science to give you scientific evidence.cantona7 wrote:half of science like sir nial said is questioning theories.
a theory, in scientific terms, refers to a proposal which has proven beyond reasonable doubt to be true. Emperical evidence becomes before a theory, it is the interpretation of Emperical evidence which consitutes a theory. ( Well described by Matt Dillahunty in the Atheist Experience available on youtube.)
And i'm the one who knows fuck all about Science right?
Nice try Stanky.

Remember the thread regarding the use of Drugs for ADHD where i was arguing against using any drugs against this 'dis-order' while the MMJ crowd were trying to say that Cannabis is good for this.Puffin13 wrote:Do you also question the scientists and/or pharmaceutical companies for their pills and drugs?Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:To be taken seriously in this particular reasoning we have to challenge these scientists and question what they say, that's how science works. Surely, this is a case of you not questionning the drug companies claiming first that ADHD is an actual disorder and that drugs are the best way to deal with it?
