Seeking some recommendations from recent customers ;-)

Post by dreama »

Hi guys and gals

We are visiting the dam for the 6th time this weekend and having not been since Jan 10 I am looking for some reccomedations on some good recent purchases.

Being everyday smokers we are looking for that bit extra when we go to the dam and like real hardcore indicas and sativas. We really like hazes, and grabbed a great WW from Basjoes last time and some lovely Hawaiian Stone.

Any reccomendations for a nice morning 100% sativa and some nice nightime knockout indica. Really prefer weed to hash and like tasty smokes such as cheese.

Would love some suggestions of strains and shops! Also of any decent 5gram deals about ;-)

I don't think its 100% sativa, but one of the best morning smokes I've ever had was S5 Haze from Mellow Yellow. I bet I won't be the only one who recommends this :) Its a really clear high, great taste and smell... perfect.

Anyday have an indica strain called something along the lines of "Sleepytime", "Night time" or something like that. I asked them about it and its a good one for smoking late night. Also try the Hindu Kush from Club Media, I find that can be a "cough yourself to sleep" if smoked late at night :)

Taste-wise, have a look for Big Budda Cheese, the best one I've had lately was again from Anyday. They also have 15% discount for 5 grams, and it can be mixed strains too, as long its 5g total.[/quote]

my suggestion is to read a few of the recent travelogues which contain up-to-date reports on what is available and where

for example, the following 4 travelogues from june and july are recent and might be a good place to start ... they each have lots of information and great photos ... after reading these you can also read some of the many fine reports that members are good enough to write for us home-bound folk to drool over ... just follow the link to the Travelogues (After or During) section of the acd forum

ive mentioned it on this forum only a couple of days ago, but i really recommend 'Red Diesel' from barneys. i had it last friday, and i cant stop banging on about it to my mates. its advertised as an indica/sativa cross, which hs a decent kick to it, but its the taste which makes it so good imo.

of course everything is down to personal taste, but its my favourie tasting smoke ive had in a year or so, but then ive been a diesel fan for a while now.... my previous fav was rokerij sour diesel of 2008/2009

Cheers CSS, we are staying on Harleemestraat so Barneys will inevitably be our first stop when we get into the city at 10pm so this looks like the winner for the first smoke!!

I cant resist a decent Diesel and had the Rokerrij Sour in early 2009. YUMMMMMMMM :-D

I am also driving over to the Dam this weekend and I haven't been since January! These are a few strains I'm planning on trying...

Its been said a million times before on here but NYCD from Hunters is a must for every trip! Their special maroc sounds like its worth a try also. Blue cheese from Barneys sounds good, as does their red diesel (volcano on every table apparently?) Also heard some good reports recently on Neville's haze from 420 cafe, hawaiian snow from the Greenhouse and the Paradox coffeeshop seems like a pleasant little place to try out this time as well.

Cool! Im looking forward to checking out paradox. Looking forward to some cheese from basjoes and checking out the basjoes special. Also been looking at trying the Casey Jones at Grey Area. Let me know if you plan a toke and talk!! :-D Always good to try new strains and get completely destroyed with others!!

been back a day The Mango Haze at sheeba is amazing in taste n strength and their lemon cheese aint bad too and for cheese pop into bagheera see what theirs is like was closest to uk cut i seen whilst there. Katsu for OG#18 is supreme smoke strong n sour taste on exhale a new fav n Barneys acapulco gold was very good morning smoke. Im not a diesel fan but rookerjj's sour d @ 9e was a fantastic buy sharp tastein n clear hi, personally id avoid Gray Area like the plague over hyped over priced average weed. on my future visits ill only be buyin from sheeba katsu n bagheera anthin im bulk atleast.

i smoke cheese n blue cheese everryday n on first visit thought that barring 3 4 strains the rest of what i tried was rubbish this trip was better but theres still a load of average weed too

Id seclnd the S5 too n 50e for 5g is a deal
