Gosh that pedal boat looks fun. Has anybody ever done these b4? I've seen them in the canals but they can't be very fast. Must take forever to get from the the outer rings into the centrum...

Yeah, they're great craic especially whilst stoned crashing is always an option too and no they don't go too fast that just involves too much energy for my liking anyway

About the canal bikes, r they so slow that walking would be faster? That would really irritate me on some level. I can imagine looking up at all those legs speeding by and getting nowhere -- like living in a garden apartment.

Also, where can you get a map of the canals with locks and stuff notated?

The canal bikes are a great way to see the city and imo less dangerous than ordinary bikes. If peddlers are pretty much in cync then yes it's quicker than walking maps are provided which mark out specific routes. We didn't venture too far, simply because I can't swim and started to get freaked out after a while (too much bobbing). But as I say, yeah they are great fun, you get a totally different perspective of the city. If there are a few of you heading out, then yes, it can also be carnage!
