Both products (Strawberry & Apple in English) are sold for E12 per/g at The Grasshopper in Eindhoven. Someone I know (who has awful judgment of weed) often bring back one of these from when he goes on day trips. The smell in the bag is like ultra synthetic apple or strawberry sweets, and the smoke tastes similar, very over powering and not in a nice way. We smoked some in my room, upon returning 3hrs later I could still smell the soapy strawberry fakeness. Underneath its some run of the mill skunk. I swear it’s got to have tasty puff (
http://www.tastypuff.com/ ) or something on it, it’s so artificial. Hope this doesn’t start appearing in Dam. Anyone else had it?

some weeds CAN smell ultra synthetic, big bhudda cheese being one.
but i think your right on this one- not that i've had it myself
i had a really bad feeling about the strawbery/apple weed when i read a review of it somewhere a while back. i'm surprised that a real coffeeshop would put that horrible tasty puff (or equivalent) stuff in their weed, but if your mate likes it, obviously some people do like it therefore there's a market for it..
but yes that tasty puff stuff looks like a crime against nature.. oh well as long as they keep it well away from the real bud. never seen it in dam. I didn't even try vanilla kush cos the idea of vanilla essence in weed seemed too disgusting to me- that's not what they're doing but icouldn't get the thought out of my head
i need to eat. i'm rambling

the Strawberry Haze from Grasshopper is sprayed with strawberry taste (or something like that)... like some blunts (blunt papers) wich had different tastes like vanilla, strawberry and so on...
I heard that from a local guy who live in Maastricht... he knows many about the weeds are going around. I never tried "weed" like that and I will never do. Because it´s no naturally weed...
But Grasshopper is the only cs I know who sell weed like that.
p.s. the other strains from Grasshopper are great most of the time... I don´t know why they sell shit like this!

Yeah i tried it the strawb one i actually like it probably just the novelty value of it though , i cant say i would smoke alot or only that but yeah i enjoyed it ! however it contaminated my grinder for weeks and i think the bit i sent back was that stinky the postie decided to help himself

im sure you get more than a G for your €12 i noticed that in Eindhoven its like Amsterdam before the Euro as in not buying by the gram but €5 or €12 bags etc

I commented on similar strains last year, one being a Strawberry Haze (14e per gram

) I sampled from Smokey Boot (Maastricht) in April 09. The smell and taste of the gear was that of sickly sweet, moldy strawberries. A slight hint of haze, but it got lost in the yuck.
In Aug 09, I sampled some gear from Easy Going (Maastricht) that was called Acapulco Gold. The asking price was 15.50e per gram.

This stuff smelled and tasted just like the Strawberry Haze I had sampled four months earlier. Possibly re-branded? Same weed @ 1.50e more. Rip off? Quite possible.
As for the current version of this weed having been sprayed, can't say, haven't seen it. The gear I mentioned above didn't seem like it had been dipped or sprayed although it had a slight sickly-sweet taste.
Sarcastic humor ahead...
My theory is that someone at the distribution center fucked up and instead of sending this dipped weed to the UK, they mistakenly distributed it domestically.

What's next? Maybe the dreaded soap bar hash will make the rounds? We should call these "UK Specials", mainly because the majority if not all the stories about adulterated weed and soap bar hash originate in the UK.

I dont think the Grasshopper is selling this as anything other than what it is ? ie they know its got additives for taste its a novelty weed plain and simple

I often visit the Grashopper, but their apple and strawberry weed is shit. It is just their normal White Widow put into a machine and afterwards it is 4 Euro/g expensiver. One time the owner said,"wait a minute ill have to make new "and i asked him what weed he puts in the machine and he told me. So he makes no secret about it and i hope the addictives aren't that bad.
My advice: Don't buy Strwaberry or Apple Weed. If you want to have the taste of fruits try Lemon Haze or Blueberry crosses.
P.S. I visit Eindhoven once a week and at Grashopper you can only buy WW, Santa, NLX or Amnesia. The other weedstrains are fake in my eyes.

WTF? I thought this thread was about a couple of bad strains being sold. I suppose it's not been a total waste of my time since I was able to learn two things:
1. The Grasshopper in Eindhoven sells adulterated weed, albeit up front.
2. Tasty Puff. Maybe this is the shit that dealers have been using in the UK?
Time to move on...

Cheers for the info, I was sure it wasn’t natural. It tastes like someone ripped up a blunt wrap and put it in your spliff. Its strange that they are so open about adding the flavour, but then again the % of people that care is probably small. I wonder if it will make its way to Dam, new item on the Bulldog menu?

flavored weed is just ghetto.
it's like flavored coffee, 'raspberry nut crunch roast'. That's like making mustard flavored ketchup, imho

Agreed. Great weed tastes great on its own. No need for additives. Sounds like a stupid gimmick that won't catch on with true stoners.

hardboiled - "flavored weed is just ghetto."
buddy - "Agreed. Great weed tastes great on its own. No need for additives. Sounds like a stupid gimmick that won't catch on with true stoners."
cisco - "As i say total novelty." Laughing Wink
This is what I, many I have known, and even more so people I have met over the years thought when first hearing about mixing weed with tobacco - totally ghetto, a fad that won't catch on, a total novelty, and that only pretentious fucks would even think of doing something so stupid. Makes them seem oh so cool, so hip, so different, so anti-establishment.

Most of us, especially those that didn't smoke cigarettes, thought this was a quick, albeit stupid way to become addicted to nicotine. I think it's stupid to start smoking cigarettes to begin with, and I've been hooked since the tender age of 12.

So I suppose the saying "takes one to know one" fits me well.
My opinion now (has been since I became an adult years ago) is to each his/her own, and whatever makes you happy.
So, what do you all think about weed flavored with "tobacco?"

I don't smoke tobacco anymore. When I did I always enjoyed a cigarette after getting high but it never ocurred to me to mix tobacco with weed. I don't think it ever caught on in America. The trend argument aside, tobacco is addictive. As far as I know the flavors aren't, so I don't think the two are comparable. Unless the weed has a nasty taste that needs to be masked I really don't see it catching on but I'm no trend forecaster.
Forgot to mention that if one goes by the many posts on this forum most weed aficionados are particular about and seek out specific flavors/tastes in their smoke. Can't really see them wanting to cover the taste with artificial flavors.
