Big Brother (the TV show)

Any of you Britons (is that the right word??) watching this season of Big Brother UK?

I'm a bit of a "reality TV" fan, but most of the US "reality" shows have gone to shit. So last year/season i started downloading some fo the BBUK shows and got completely hooked! This year i heard about it before the season started so i've been watching it quite religiously.

Yes i know i'm weird but i just need quailty entertainment and most of the US TV shows just don't cut it anymore.....thank god for HBO and the Internet!!

I'm proud that I haven't seen a single episode.

I really don't get on with reality TV.... I'd rather stick Discovery on.

Hi Mazdog,

My Mrs. can't miss an episode. We have Sky+ (sat TV) which enables you to record onto it's internal hard drive. You can pause and rewind live broadcast, is cool...

I usually have my laptop out in the evening too and if we ain't cuddling up infront of BB then I'l surf whilst looking up now and then.

Some of it is shit, some of it is mental, like Pete (the torrets guy)... he is such a freak (not being horrible, he is unique, in a nice way... I bet a night in-town with Pete would be crazy).

Sometimes I do feel that they are playing up to the cameras and I can't stand all the drama with the crying poofs. (no offense to homosexuals out there, 2 of my best friends are gay and i am not homophobic, I just think campness should have a maximum level).

Who will win ?

My money is on Pete or Glynn

The smart money is on pete. I unfortunatly get forced to watch as my girlfreind is an avid fan of BB. Been reading in the paper about some racist comments made by a member of the BB house. Surely the law would intervene? Celebrity BB is funnier i think.

Same here, more so considering I share a house at uni with 3 girls who religiously watch all types of crap on tv (x-factor, survivor and big brother included - sorry but I just don't find people showing-off and embarassing themselves on national tv entertaining to me...guess that's why I can't stand Ricky Gervais either!)

i watch it occasionaly but i find that i cant be bothered to stay and watch it every night as its not that great......so i miss whats going on

if its on and im about ill put it on for a bit

i think pete will win....but i reckon hes playin up on his tourettes a bit, im not sayin hes fakin it but ya know its a good sympathy vote! but he is a funny guy!

yeah i'm thinkin pete will go a long way, Glyn also has a chance.

I guess one of the resons i like it is because of the cultural differences...you know i am very familar with american jack asses acting like fools and now i can see some Brits do the same....much more entertaining for some reason.

what I do find interesting is how different poeple act in different situations... Grace for example is going around blatantly slagging poeple off behind thier backs and then being all nice to the same person to thier face... surely somebody can't be nieve enough to think that BB won't pick up on this and broadcast a side of you that makes you look like a two faced back stabbing bitch... wow there are some strong characters in that house and some complete twats too... I know it's not everybodies cup of tea and I don't follow it like the Mrs. does... but when you get a good bit it's really good.
