Christiania, Köbenhavn

On my way back from holidays in Sweden I had a very short stop in Kopenhagen, and made a visit in Christiania. I had only one hour to get there from the place our car was parked and back.
So in Christiania it was just a buy and fly!
Its nearly 20 years ago when I last visited this place, the Hash shops are still there, wooden tables with a roof, concentrated in the middle of the Pusher street. their were about a dozen of this places, all had more or less the same things on offer for the same prices. It seems they all stock up from the same source.
I bought 6 gr of hash and 3 of weed from 3 tables.
Hashes were Maroc polm, Maroc Caramello Egg and Nepal pollen.
Very very very good quality, esp. the Caramello is fantastic, both in taste and and effect, very nice warm and not retiring stone. This was 110 Dkr/g, about 17 €. The pollens are also quite nice.
The weeds are Orange Haze 80 Dkr, and G 13 at 100 Dkr.
The OHaze is very fruity and sweet, medium high, G 13 a strong indica.
I prefer the Haze.
There were far more strains on offer like Northern Light, WW, Blueberry...
also outdoor bud. Prices from 60-120 Dkr/g.
Various grades of Morocan hashes, Nepalese, Afghan, Pakistan and Ice hash from 70-150 Dkr/g.
Pre rolled joints and cookies also availlable.
Though its quite expensive I highly recommend a visit here if you have the chance, I try to get there again this year!

I visited Christiania a few years ago. Definitely an interesting community. Very open and easy going. It's too bad the developers are trying to muscle them out. If you go, walk around the community - there are a lot of interesting nooks and crannies, houses, gardens, buildings, artwork, cafes, etc. Also, the hillside by the water is a very relaxing place on a sunny day.

Nope pusher street is where it's happening.

But the art part on lesser known streets is cool. You can see where people dragassed shit home 20 or 30 years ago and never finished anything. The graffiti is excellent. It's like a stoner paradise in the middle of a large city.

Is there any relaxed accomodation? I might have some days in Copenhagen as soon as the end of next week and would like to make the most of it

What's the best place to stay near Christiania?

How good does your Danish have to be to get along ok? About how much is it to get a hotel room in the area? About how far is it to the Copenhagen airport(I'm kindof considering going to Christiania instead directly to the Neatherlands on April 15 but want to dig some before I really plan).

I've heard that the area is lacking in hotels, any recommendations for the nearest proper hotel (not a B&B) with own TV, toilet and shower?
