It does look good but it also looks quite pretentious when it's just a fucking burger. ;)

My local burger stand has local grass fed burgers, malt shakes and house cut fries. Simple and fucking delicious. I like the fancy stuff too though.

I know mate but it was a taste sensation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a bit like wtf when I read the menu as I was a die hard burger bar fan and used to the simpler burger...that all changed when I ate it. i even mopped up the juice off the plate with the last mouthful.. and forgetting about the toppings the burger its self was first class juicy and well seasoned.

Ate in the Elandsgracht and Albert Cuypstraat locations recently, absolutely fantastic! Sat in the Elandsgracht Burgermeester one rainy afternoon peering stoned out the window listening to the music. What a pleasurable way to avoid the rain. I also tried Burger Bar again but this time on Reguliersbreestraat and it was quite disgusting. The Vlaamse frites were greasy and quite awful, while the burger was just a sloppy mess. I wont eat at a Burger Bar again but look forward to eating at Burgermeester many more times :D

Cisco ain't Burgermeester right out of town, not far from club media? And burgerbar is next to wok to walk opposite cafe 420?

Was so excited to try this place from some of the reviews here and it was right around the corner from where I was staying.
Nice clean interior most of the staff friendly. Everything seems fresh I got the triple burger platter and ordered three different mini burgers.
Honestly I hated their food I thought it tasted funky and nothing like a typical burger, mostly I just hated all three toppings I got.
Also a little too pretentious for a burger place.
I prefer Burger Bar over this place imo no contest.

Myself and the mrs went to the one next to the Zoo in the Plantage in a completely sober but very hungry state and it was absolutely incredible, I was also really pleased that there was an English menu as a lot of places that Iv been to in the outskirts of the Dam only have Dutch Menus so ordering your food is always a slight gamble.

This placed pissed no shat all over burger bar, no fries which I would have liked, but fuck yeah the burger is a wedge of quality and its not floating in crap like burger bar, very very good imo, clean shop and staff sorted us stoners out. Good shit 8)

Burger Meester...never again. Two bites was all I could stand, then in the bin. Couldn't even swallow bite two.

Amsterdam is not the place for burgers, for me anyway. Getting a Five Guys cheese burger in Dulles (coming and going) to/from the Dam fixes me up just right to be able to avoid these €-traps.

Amsterdam could use a Five Guys or two, imo.

And a place for good corned beef, with great pickles.

Ah but that's a comparison with home and not burgers in Amsterdam, gonna be no comparison to food back home, I only rate Amsterdam against Amsterdam otherwise I might aswell stay at home. 8)
