Hotel Arena

Anyone stayed there before? Whats the place like? Is it a long haul up to the main area of town? It's located next to Oosterpark. Thanks for any replies.

I'm not terribly familar with that hotel or area, but rest assured it won't be too far from town, especially if you take the wonderfully easy trams!! Nothing is more that 10-15mins if you use the trams wisely.

I haven't stopped there but have looked into the hotel, they are a little out of the way but the trams run right by and you'd probaly only be a 15 - 20 min walk from the centrum area, I also know the hotel is also a night-club but I can't comment on noise while your sleeping, take a look over at www.tripadvisor.com they have a pretty decent review system.

I think you can do better. It's a ways out with poor transportation as the nearby trams only go to Leidseplein- you've got to transfer to a Centraal Station tram to get to the centrum. It's probably better to cut through the park toward the Tropen Museum and catch a 9 or 14 tram.

It does look a wee bit out of the way. I read a few reviews on tripadvisor, didn't see anything negative. Sounds like a pretty good club there. That's not really my cup of tea though, I'd rather be a little closer to a few more coffeeshops. I'm not the one who made the reservation. Although het Ballonnetje sounds like a nice place to hang out. No beers though.

Should be a good time either way. Only 11 days to go.
