Im currently smoking some of Vegas's finest purple kush and at the same time wondering what im gonna do about my munchies?? Well here in the comfort of my own city i know i want some Frozen custard with caramel and pecans from LUV IT'S FROZEN CUSTARD...lol shameless plug, but seriously when your in Amsterdam @ your favorite coffeeshop and those damn munchies kick in, where do you go????????
I personally loved those little fried doughnuts covered in powdered sugar i had near the Rijks Museum...

Fresh Stroopwafels, hard to find sometimes but worth it IMO.

Stroopwafles and Magnum bars are in my munchie list this go round in the Dam...Ive read there are a few Stroopwafle vendors at the Albert Cuyp Market shouldn't be to hard too find...I can sniff out a fresh waffle Quicker than anyone.....

Mark my words balou, i will be eating Stroopwafle in November..LOL... Ive also read there's a guy in Shiphol who sells them if all else fails...I hope it doesn't come to that though..

Even the stroopwaffels they sell in AH are amazing, obviously the fresh ones are better.

I eat so many differant things and because I'm usually stoned 24/7 I consider everything I eat to be a munchie.

One of my BIGGEST weaknesses after a smoke session is a kaassouffle from Febo..... A GIANT cheese nugget of heaven!!!!

I generally go for these at the open markets while wondering about:
Freshly squeezed fruit juice and/or fresh fruit.

When the opportunity presents itself, caramelized banana fritters.

Can't have Hollandse Nieuwe without onions...They're nice in a bread roll too for the squeamish ones who can't eat a raw fish with their head tilted back rather like a Herring Gull...

roker, do you know alot about dutch food?

when i was on business trip we was in a town called 'gemert' and they had a delivery van that brought food round, they called it 'french fry war' it had fries,diced onions,sate sauce,mayonnaise, and a frikadel i beleive (hotdog type thing)

just wanted to know if this has a name or anything as was very yummy!!! i love the dutch version of 'sate' sauce!

That would be a 'frikandelletje oorlog'...you can have that sauce combo with chips too, it's called 'patatje oorlog', or literally 'war chips', as you correctly said. Maybe they fed the soldiers on this during the war? who knows, but it's what I always have...lekkere patatje oorlog alstublieft...
