I can't look into this at the moment or what screen res it was designed and optimised for as I'm accessing internet on my phone at the moment.. I'll check things out tomorrow sometime when main PC is booted up, where it was designed.roker wrote:Must be my screen res...1920x1080...but the map WILL NOT LOAD FOR ME...in IE or Chrome...I'm not taking the piss or being an arsehole, it just doesn't work, and I'm on a fresh Win7x64 install...

Roker, I have no idea. This is a new one on me and a first.
You obviously have the latest Macromedia Flash plugin installed, I take it? or it could be your adblock software causing it to not appear. If you can view other Flash based web sites, then technically you should be able to see mine. You are obviously seeing the Dreamweaver frame holder based on the pic above with the scroll bars, but the Flash file is not displaying, so all I can think of is your PC settings are configured differently to others as I've not heard from anyone else who can't view it, apart from Apple Iphones users who can't view Flash anyway.
Sorry to the OP for hijacking the thread and going off topic.

I have "Adobe" Flash 10.1 I believe...maybe "Macromedia" Flash is now obselete? Personally I'd have done it in Fireworks and used 'rollovers'...then it would work on iPhone and all other devices...TRANCE wrote:Roker, I have no idea. This is a new one on me and a first.

Fair point about Fireworks.
I started out with Flash and it all kind of snowballed from there and ended up sticking with it, despite owning Fireworks software which I've only played around with once many years ago.
If thruth has it, I didn't design the map to actually be used as such on the internet or for use on Smartphones, etc. I used Flash software as it's vector based, which can be blown up or decreased without losing any detail. The map I made is actually designed for print one day and I'm simply gathering and altering information as I go until it's finished.
In a nut shell, it's going to be a huge poster and is not really meant for internet viewing, although I could easily knock out a PDF for Iphone users, this would only be a static image only with no interaction. I have a PDF version on my phone.

Excellent map!

Maybe you could make a subtle addition to the font or name of the bars that are grass friendly. Something only those in the know would catchTRANCE wrote:I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, but I've been thinking about adding and plotting all smoker friendly places on my map, be it pubs that allow tobacco or pubs that allow weed. I would love to do this but maybe such info should be kept hidden due to the laws, etc.
Nice one, I thought about this too. I may look into something along these lines when I'm back from Amsterdam in a couple of weeks. Not sure yet, I need to scout around a bit and see if this is actually a wise thing to do or something better off leaving alone altogether.geoffk wrote:Excellent map!
