You can get turkish pizzas pretty much everywhere here in Holland. They're one of the staple drunken snacks people buy. There are usually turkish snack bars that sell them dotted around everywhere. Not a huge fan of them myself though.

Unless you happen to know a good place. Of which there are many.

So many good turkish grill houses around the world, don't generalise a whole section of cuisine because you had an elephant leg donner once upon a time.

I LOVE the Turkish bread they sell at the market by Katsu and the market in Haarlem.
Its like a giant flat sesame begal and they sell like 25 different cream cheeses to go with it ( test before buying, some are very salty, atleast to my tastes ).

I wish they sold real fresh turkish bread in the UK....

as HighTree said youc an get a Turks Pizza pretty much anywhere in NL for quite cheap, nothing like a crappy UK kebab. Must be eaten with garlic sauce (knoflook saus) and some salad (sla).

Ah OK, I wish we had more stuff like that in East Anglia! London would be 2 hours each way for a loaf of bread, even though its delicious its not quite the same as popping to the turkish bakery down the road :(

If you have the possibility to see how these Turkish shop receive the raw materials in the morning, you will never eat in any of these places (for instance, just have an early morning stroll in the Kinkerstraat...).

Hygiene is an option.

Of course these are just my 2 cents. I don't wanna start a generic discussion on hygiene in restaurants, where at least the dirty stuff happen in a kitchen and not on the middle of the street.
