I do (or at least used to) participate in a few other forums, that I really enjoyed. They had nice communities, with helpful, intelligent people, and they were generally a good place to spend some e-time.
But ACD is pretty much the only cannabis-centric forum I've seen. Most of them are just (I hate to overstep my bounds) kids who who make posts like:
"so... baki in joints, i used 2 roll joints with baki out of fags n then i realized how shit it was n how much easier it was with propper baki. Personally i lik cutters choice. wat bout u guys????"
and are so overexcited and underintelligent. It's like watching a bunch of retards trying to hump a doorknob. (2 brownie points if you know where that last sentance is from)
So, I guess what I'm asking is, has any of you found any other intelligent place to discuss our green hobbies?

This was the first forum/discussion site that I came across regarding Amsterdam/Cannabis and that happened after I accessed the main site.
I've read about a few of the members here having membership of other sites (Channels) but personally I wouldn't wanna go anywhere else. My posts on both sites would become more or less identical.

I too found this place first after using the main ACD page to gather info... man what a find this place was, I was so happy with it I had no reason or need to look elsewhere... however I am also now a member (since April 1st) of the Channels forum but I've only posted 6 times there. It's sometimes worth looking through the threads there when there has been little activity here but as we grow we seem to be getting busier and I check channels less and less... there is also HIP forums which is massive with lots of topics... worth a look but I must say, it don't matter where you look, yes, you will find nice poeple in other places but you will also find alot of twats and assholes out there.
This place IS and will continue to be the best, most informative and well run Amsterdam forum out there. "We" make sure that it stays polite and curteous at all times. You do get the odd twat on here and the odd spam post but go look around and then you'll see what I mean. (IMHO)... oh and as you can see, it's not just about Amstaerdam, it's a small (global) community here that will happily pass coment, both for and against any subject.

hempcity ( willie wortel shops ) has a site w/forum but home page not very current and forum so-so. smokers guide has a message board and does reviews of reefer and hash. Can be informative when current They also put out the Smokers Guide once a year which is informative. Have a message board, will say no more. 
Nothing beats Lemmings site for a forum. Our membership is growing and if all of the people who are on the member list were to actively participate in the forum it could only improve. This is the only forum I have been to with allmost no silly bickering, arguing or name calling. Remember I have been around this scene for a long time and am very computer active so have been on many sites over the years, including channels. ACD is Number 1 and lemming is tops as a webmaster, moderater and as an active member of the posting community. wow did I just write all that

I also think that most members state that they have been "lurking" around for a while since finding the forum after using the ACD maain site... therefor I think they would have got the jist of how this place runs. The majority of the members probably signed up as a member before a trip, got what they needed and told of thier adventure upron the return... then they disaapear for a while, well, until they next plan a trip... then there are "the usual suspects", a small group of forum members that visit the forum on a regular basis, every day or so... this group does change and is growing... I agree that lots of fresh new posts every day are nice to read and reply to but some days are quiet and some days are busy... which makes a good variety of poeple and posts

The only other forum I visit is http://www.uk420.com which I recommend to everyone for amazing budshots and v. in depth growing advice. (I don't count this as an ad cos' they cover a different aspect of cannabis, growing so it's no competition to this site, but feel free to remove it if you do mods
