Just out of curisity, whats the crack with who you support? Is it your home town team, the team from where you went to University or a mixture of both (or more?).

I go with a simple formula.
First geography ie root for my closest home team or former hometeam , Seatle and Toronto respectively.
For playoffs i root for the underdog as well, since my geographic picks rarely do much.

yea the giants have always been my other team(my team in the national league) because i grew up with them. my dad was a fan. went to the 4th ever game at candlestick back when the outfield was open. the winds would come right off the bay. if yous stayed the whole 9 innings and braved the cold you'd get a giants veni vidi vici pin. he used to chat with orlando cepeda from the bleachers too..willy mays as well.

pretty sure im boycotting the mariners next season. the current owners have been in power for 17 years and imo they have worn out their welcome. howard lincoln is not fit to run a team, jack zudeneric (or h/e its spelled) is imo a questionable gm. his trades for cliff lee and eric bedard were disastrous and pretty much depleted our youth/farm system. the players they sign all turn out bad. not really ecstatic about who they picked for our new manager. until the current front office is cleared out and they get someone in there who can put together a good team and a good product on the field..cant see myself getting season tickets again or maybe even going to a game next year. been really sad about the team since 2002! also the stadium going 100m overbudget in when it was finished in 1999 was crazy. i think we're still paying for it in taxes.

watching your team make it to the world series by striking out the trash/ arrogant bastard that is alex rodriguez...priceless. congrats texas rangers, balou, and the rest of the fans. always a pleasure to root against the bronx bombers(bitches).

Ewwww.
The only change baseball needs is to ditch the DH from the AL, its rediculous.
As for changing the playoffs and adding brackets like hockey did ; NO THANK YOU.

i always loved the dh....as long as that dh was called edgar martinez. 8) dh or not he deserves to be in the hall of fame. and he s a 1 team man..spent all 17 seasons with us. we dont have a hof yet but we could potentially have 4 in the next 15 years. griffey, edgar, randy johnson and ichiro. 3 out of those 4 are sure bets for the hall. only edgar is iffy...but imo he deserves it. going to get sick when that bastard alex rodriguez passes griff on the hr list. cheater....they should subtract a good 100-150 hr's from his total.

Do not kid yourself if you think Griffey was not taking stearoids as well.
They all were in the hayday when MLB was not even checking ( 85-95 ).
Especially with all his injuries, no way he did not atleast try it.

no offense dude, but im gonna call bs. if your gonna make a statement like that provide a good arguement aside from the fact that he played in the era he did. 1. he was never even mentioned in the mithcell report. 2. his weight and profile stayed pretty much the same his whole career until he was old. his numbers stayed pretty consistent and when they went down they were due to injuries. if you look at most big steroid users from the last 15 years, mcguire, giambi, bonds, belle..they all started the league small guys, then suddenly bulked up mysteriously and then all of a sudden their numbers sky rocketed. the only acception to this is mcguire but thats just because he was on steroids. most baseball pundits/writers have said griff was pretty much one of only a few legitimate non cheating super stars in his era. really not fair to say that a class player just because he was playing in the "cess pool era" of baseball. and trust me, im not evens aying this because he is a mariner. i can def name a few mariners from the old days that im sure used steroids. one name that pops up really quick is jay buhner. another was richie sexon. i can name others too. mark langston? probably. even jose "im gonna stab ya in the back and beat my wife" conseco said he doubted griffey used and then went on to say he didnt.

Great game last night until the 7th, then it went to hell for Texas.
If it was not for that blister...
Not sure what was up with the Texas coach he seemed very overwhelmed and was making some very strange decisions.
