How to reach Ahoy in Rotterdam from Amsterdam

Post by templeball »

I need to get to the faithless gig in the Ahoy stadium in rotterdam Nov 26th, and im coming from amsterdam

presumably I can get a train easy enough, but what then, i havent got a clue once i step off the train, and just as importantly are there any decent coffeeshops near Ahoy?

any help much appreciated..

in reverse;

no, there are no coffeeshops near the Ahoy...unless that has changed recently.

there is a train from Rotterdam Centraal that runs basically into this little district that is connected to the Ahoy...it is very convenient and easy to navigate but if you can't figure it out just ask one of the security guards standing around...once you get there you'll be deposited into a type of shopping mall that has some clothing, food, etc. before being lead out to the venue, which is about a 3 minute walk from the where the train lets you off.

for Steely Dan in '00 and Roger Waters in '02 they had a little board saying; "AHOY HALL - METRO TO ZUIDPLEIN" in the train station pointing you in the right direction...
