Any big screens showing World Cup?

Post by bigjohn »

I will be in 'Dam next weekend for the quarter finals which will be England or Ecuador V Netherlands or Portugal. My bet for the world cup was Portugal (maximum points so far and not even got out of 1st gear :) ) My question is are there any outdoor big screens showing the games, in Vondelpark for example. :D :D

Sorry Netherlanders, but I think your world cup will end this Sunday against Portugal, as for England I expect them to beat Ecuador, despite Erickson's insistance to play Beckham, not because of it.

I hate to say it but, if the scenario is England V Portugal I have to go with my head and root for Portugal, afterall, I tipped them from the start and the handful of Prima Donnas wearing the England shirt need bringing down a peg or 2 :x

My apologies to any England fans that think I should be more patriotic but I have never been into conformity.

John (the rebel) :D

Well, so far so good :?

Not sure about the Red card for Deco, I hope fifa reverse it

It is an amazing thing that happens in the UK when world cup fever hits, the English actually believe they can win the thing  They scraped a 1-0 win against a team nobody have ever heard of before (Ecuador) and all the Jingoistic English come out of the woodwork. Hell, you should hear the radio this morning, you would think we had just turned Brazil over 6-0 Beckham got soooo Excited he threw up on the pitch, what a hero, well, it is over 3 years since the "Best free kick taker in the World"   Scored from a direct free kick, he's bound to get a little excited

Good luck everybody. Anybody wanting a punt on the game I would heartily reccomend Portugal to qualify, currently trading at almost 6/4 Whilst England are 4/6 Very poor odds considering the performances so far.

I'll probably be in Nes for the game, if Portugal take the lead I may need one of DC's special smokes to calm me down :) :)

Nes does have screens but rarely have the volume on.

With all the suspensions Portugal have they will definitely have a much weakened starting line up to the one that England could have been up against.

I would put my money on Portugal as well.

Enjoy yourself John, keep believing and all that.
