"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."

~ Abraham Lincoln (1809-65), U.S. President.

Speech, 18 Dec. 1840, to Illinois House of Representatives.

I think it might've been NORML, but someone posted a link showing money contributions for and against Prop 19. Surprise, surprise one of the biggest donors against was Cops and jail wardens.

talking to a few of my fam members down in cali..i guess alot of people didn't vote because it was a poorly written law? the mmj users also didn't help but the % between yes and no was like 10% diff so really to big a margin to put all the blame on them imo.

With all respect the final results were 46% yes and 54% no. As there was a total margin of 4% I for one feel quite comfortable pointing the finger at the No on 19 people.
