I was under the impression that a true "irish" fry consists of the first five items found in a fridge being tossed in oil and served. lol.

couldn't resist, as I have many relatives from Dublin.

french fries for breaky is wrong, no matter where you are from...

here's what a Canadian breakky looks like... whammo!

Image

they even built a Tim Hortons outlet on the Canadian Forces base in Khandahar, Afghanistan. If you notice, the soldier on the far left is American... he's convert... no one in Canada can live without Tim Hortons coffee!

Fried bread can be a bit too much, I do like it but not a whole slice. It seems nobody has a thing for fried mushrooms.. ergh.

Oh i love fried mushrooms, yummy :D Mrs us2

Well cantona7 if you went to Canada in BC around Vancouver there were probably as many Starbucks as Tim Hortons... the West Coast is a little more "hip" than central and eastern Canada.

Maple Wheaties... I'll have a look, never had them... but there is a McLobster at McDonalds in the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI).

A McLobster... crazy!
we never had that in europe.
I guess they even don't do that in the US.

I never understood having chips with brekkie!! a hash brown or 2 is a must but chips?? Im from the south of England and never came across it until I moved to Swansea, South Wales. Although my local greasy spoon has now replaced them with fried potatoes which seem to go down alot better :) When I lived in Southampton the place across the road from me served Bubble 'n' Squeak with their brekkie, took me back as my mother always cooked that with her fry ups!! Fooking lovely!! Anyone else partial to a bit of Bubble with their brekkie??
